The most basic, really basic Birkin would cost a bit more than 5000$ and they go upwards of tens of thousands of dollars… And there is almost always a waitlist for the exact bag that you want!

What exactly is the difference between a Hermes Birkin and a Hermes Kelly?

I wonder if you girls are aware of the fact that Jane Birkin, who gave her name to the bag, doesn’t actually carry that bag any more. She blames it for giving her shoulder pain because it’s just so goddamn bulky.
I’d rather have the effortless cool and sophistication of a Jane Birkin than own a Birkin.
Now Hermes perfumes, that’s another story. Their inhouse parfumeur Jean-Claude Ellena is genius. Their Rose Ikebana and Un Jardin sur le Nil are two of my favourite fragrances.
Has anyone tried his latest Un Jardin apres la Mousson which is inspired by Kerala?

And I don’t really see the big deal in Birkin. It’s just a bag that people spend way too much on. Why not use that money for something more useful?

This is a Birkin and Twinkle’s is a Prada. They are very different. You can check out more pics of Birkins in the Birkin Watch section to see how they are different.
OH you’re absolutely right! I’d seen a pic of Twinkle carrying the Prada (prolly in a mag) and it was mentioned as a Birkin.. guess that’s why I didn’t look too hard at it.
