Cover Wars!
Perhaps, the folks over at Elle heard all of us complain about how tired we were of seeing the same ole’ people because they changed things up and gave us two fresh faces on the Sep/Oct covers. The September edition had model Jyothsna Chakravarthy wearing Tod’s while the Oct edition had Ms. Monteiro wearing a Burberry cotton blouse with Forever New leggings and sky-high Gucci booties. Jyothsna was our favorite between the two covers and while Giselli looked great, after seeing those tresses we couldn’t but help get a flashback of the Kat cover from Aug.
Which one do you prefer more?

how gorgeous are these women…………
love what they are wearing. especially Jyothsna Chakravarthy…love the color combo.
so much nicer than vogue covers.
btw is Jyothsna this lovely in real life or is this the magic of photoshoot/photoshop.
Refreshing. So so refreshing. Maybe they studied a bit before putting out their next issues. I hope they keep the books in hand at all times now.
Giselli looks fab minus the velve(I would think)… totally editorial material. Good for Elle.
Mind you they have definitely given very good covers in the past as well, now that I think about it.
Good work Elle!
Omg these covers are so amazing.. I don’t know why they don’t pick more models to do their job, because they do it WELL and way better than actresses! (Giselle was a model right?). Anyways, Jyothsna looks so beautiful, I’ve never seen her before but wow STUNNING! I love the tension in her face, the eye contact.. she looks so “present” rather than lifeless. The clothes look great too but clothes wise I love Giselle’s cover. Her legs look a mile long and I pretty much want her look H to T.
There is something classic about B/W covers – so I will go with Giselli.
Jyotsana’s is good too. Love that they are using new faces.
it is indeed refreshing to see these women. I see heroine material in Giselli. Who is she and does she focus just on ads and ramps?
Giselli is a Brazilian model who moved to Bollywood because she was told she looks Indian. She acted in Love Aaj Kal and she’s recently signed on a project where she plays the female lead. And no, I’m not her publicist! 🙂
oh i see. yes she does look indian. i have yet to see love aaj kal. thanks.
it’s good that these magazines are branching out. i was so sick of seeing the same old people on the covers. there’s something so classic about jyothsna. she looks fierce and sultry on the cover.
Giselli all the way !!!!!!!!!
Therez juss something about Black and White ….. very ‘Chanel’lish and very appealing 😉
They are both gorgeous, but these pics don’t belong on a cover. The look like they belong on the inside.
