In Pria Kataria Puri

While at the recent Awards, it was a Pria Kataria Puri gown for Madhuri Dixit. Red lips and side-swept hair completed her look.

I am not the biggest fan of ruched gowns but do think had Ms. Dixit worn her hair in a soft, low, side-knot instead of the tightly curled side-swept hair, it would’ve gone a long way in elevating her look.

Our reservations over the gown and hair aside, she looked nice; made for a change from the heavy saris and anarkalis she usually favors while on the red carpet.

  1. She looks beyond Gorgeous. PnP if this look would have been coming from Sophie , I bet you too would have been gushing over her.
The hair is fab and so is her make up.
    Lovely Gown.

  2. wow. haven’t seen her look this good since the Diwali avatar in a traditional saree. P+P, I do think you’re nitpicking much! given the horrendous things she can do with her clothes, this gets an A++

  4. what a change, from blingy dresses to simple gown and she looks nice even though the gown is just ok.
tight curls dont go that well with the dress & a clutch would have completed the look.

  5. She does look better than her usual dated Indian aesthetic. I agree with you about the side-knot. Is it just me or does anybody else find that the shimmery, clingy fabric is making her look unusually top-heavy?

  6. she has a great feminine shape but she doesn’t have the taste (or the stylist) for western wear. look at someone like christina hendricks–same kind of bod but dresses it well.

  7. Have to appreciate her efforts. On the other note , Adriana Pappel has the same gown designed , if so it would be a shame for the Indian designers to copy
