(Un)Covered

Two Nov fashion mags feature Dior on the cover with Soha wearing separates and Shweta, a chiffon purple gown. We aren’t comparing the covers this time just because the setting is so different but have to admit, Shweta does look gorgeous on the cover.

  1. I like Soha too. She has an interesting face, which often gets completely ignored due to her terrible sartorial choices. Credit due this time

  2. I wish Soha would just get over her sharmila phase. This hair looked great on her mom, makes her look like a bad bad copy. Although I do like Shweta’s cover, great gown, I hate that way they have photoshopped her face. Not good.

    • Soha infact has never changed her hair ..right?..

I mean the quasi-bangs in the front have been there since the start of time if I remember….so even is she has a fancy chignon or a high pony tail or whatever…she still always looks the same..

.and she is on tv giving style advise to others!

  3. Actually, you are right… These cover pages are not comparable and look good by themselves – Shweta looks like a power house – fierce, yet elegant…..

  4. amazing how these two are on a magazine cover literally only because of their parents…dozens of better looking, better dressed, more talented women out there. they both look strictly ok.

  5. I dont think Shweta looks gorgeous, i think the dress looks gorgeous. i.e. Shweta could be easily replaced by any model and the cover would look just as gorgeous !

    • Exactly my thoughts, her face doesn’t look good at all, it could be anyone with that styling. Soha’s cover is kinda weird.. but i saw the pictures inside and she looks great, the styling is very retro inspired/ contemporary and lovely. They should have picked one of those for the cover.

  6. Dear shweta and soha ,

101 on being on the cover:
    Shweta
Do not put make up that hides ur face clowns do that .
when u photoshop ur face it looks like amitabh cross dressing
Soha i nominate you for adhunas show for changing that 60s hair awfull!
Soha i also nominate you for WHAT NOT and i repeat NOT to wear !

  7. I think Soha’s cover is badly photoshopped. Her face and wrists look lumpy, for want of a better word. Shweta though looks far better, IMHO.

  8. Both the girls look great (slightly more partial to Soha though).
Not sure why Shweta merits a Vogue over though. Her achievements would be what exactly?

  9. I won’t be buying both these issues. Of all the beautiful Indian models around, they put housewife Shweta Bachchan on the cover? What the heyyyy! She has a great height but she’s doesn’t have looks IMO. I don’t mean to offend, but that’s what I think and we are talking about Vogue.

As for Marie Claire, the cover is so poor! What have they made Soha wear! Here is an actress who has the potential of looking glamourous, but I have to admit, she lacks charisma, so is not cover worthy.

    • Housewife? Really? Really? And being a model / actress/ corporate woman / bai / whatever is better / worse/ more deserving because?

Jeez. Some people. Stuck in 1960s, aren’t we? *rolling my eyes*

  10. Vogue India is the pits…it’s a personal Bollywood suck-up for the editor who moonlights as Bollywood stylist people…most of the fashion journos / stylists actually just Want to be stars themselves…who cares about quality covers we want to be invited to parties…
