  1. she so mesmerized me with the song ” pehli pehli barr dekha aisa jalwa ” (i watched a while back) that one look at her always remind me of that song ………she was awesome than and she awesome now , but i really wanna see her in less bling & diff or perhaps tied up hairs

  2. How Indian is that- I always like women who wear sarees to occasions, the saree is so timeless in appeal… Loved Nandita Das when whe took it to the cannes and looked lovel!Digging the saree and the whole Rekha look – th otherwise muted colour of the saree gets a lift when teamed with glittering gold.

  5. Legit., I feel like I’ve seen this pic. a mil times… hahah but she pulls off repeating her signature style! The brand of lipstick she buys should totally use her as a spokes person… or perhaps name a shade after her?

You can never go wrong w/ traditional 🙂

  6. Rekha is beautiful! BUT, the red lippie is sooooo over-the-top not to forget looks so DRY on her (at times, not always). Plus, the hair!! could we PLEASE see some variation now?

    Othervise she looks great…

  7. The sari is beautiful and worn well !!! And though I wish Rekha had left half her jewelery at home and had applied half the amount of makeup, she still manages to look OK (not great, just OK). I wish we could get close up pics of each one of those bangles/kadas she is wearing.I’m sure , when worn singly, each piece would look wonderful. And oh yes, cant stand her earrings.

  8. She looks scary…Her Sari is traditional but I donno it loooks over the top to me…Likewise her makeup is over the top too and to top it all of us all the gold..blech

But on a side note shes still maintaining those features!! Now I thought that was only possible in Hollywood but aunty sure is looking good!!

    5. Golden purse anyone ?
    6 Hey, she is rekha
7 Saree looks like a bed sheet
8 – She is “THE” Rekha
9 – Wow she looks sooooooooo good
10- Remember she is Rekha and she is gorgeous

Wow she is a timeless beauty. It does not matter if gold jewelry or gold purse is in fashion or not. She writes her own rules and we love that.

  10. She really does write her own rules. She is a personality and I guess I have to give her credit for her branding – we will always remember her like this – I don’t think there are any pics of hers in sweats. Bollywood glamour of bygone era.

  11. True no one wears a red lipstick like she does. Thats her signature look and she does carry it off well. Maybe there is too much gold, but still she looks gorgeous.
Her sari maybe a little plain, but that really helps her carry off such heavy-duty jewelery and make up.

  12. I agree with Priyanka on the red lip header. She hardly disappoints but if I were her in this saari, I would have chosen RUBIES instead of all gold! She does seem to have quite a collection of not just sarees but jewelry too.

I would also love to see her in sarees other than kanjeevarams.

  13. She looks good as usual but I’m tired of seeing her OD’ed on gold ALL the time. I think she looked EXQUISITE in Silsila in those chiffon/satin sarees and light, summery churidars and it saddens me that she doesn’t do that look more often and instead goes for the heavy silk Kanjivaram, heavy gold jewelry, heavy makeup all the time. I have nothing against Kanjivarams, but she’s losing her competitive advantage by wearing them. Even Dimple and Kirron Kher can carry off K’varam’s (love those two women so don’t kill me here), but very few women her age can pull off flowy chiffon sarees the way Rekha can. Hope someone tells her that.

  14. ya she is a beauty and all tht stuff… but now this look is very BORING.
coz this is the only look you see on her MOST of the time. so it all looks the same same same same!!!

same hair, same hair on shoulder, same red lips, same saree types, same batua, same jewellery and arm candy farzana

  15. Hey everyone,
Like it or not we all only hope to half as good as her at her age. As regards to her clothes and jewellery the lady has one of largest collection of clothes and real jewellery. Did u know that in all her movies she wears clothes and jewellery from her private collection. Wow! now that is what I call collection. Rekhaji we love u , pl ,pldont ever stop.

  16. I agree a hundred percent with Bedazzled..The more sarees and the entire traditional attire is forgotten, the more I yearn for it…And not the “filmy”/ Manish Malhotra way of wearing sarees where blouses are lost and bling and transparent fabric is the norm…Rekha does it as its meant to be done, and does it with aplomb…And I find her red lips go well with the entire ensemble. Its a daring shade and difficult to wear well- but Ms. Re has always managed to wear a LOT of makeup well..Remember her movies from the 80s- Ghar, Khoobsurat, Ijazat? I still watch those videos on YOutube just to get a glimpse of Rekha in her sarees and bindis…

  17. I can’t believe the “boring” comments. Some people just don’t understand classic glamor. They think having french fried hair and blue eyes and wearing one ridiculous outfit after another is modern. Just bad taste is all. Rekha understands what works for her, just like Audrey Hepburn did. That’s why they are both icons.
