At a recent do, Huma Qureshi opted for a fresh off-the-runway suit by Rivaayat. We much prefer the kurta paired with salwar/pants as shown on the runway… You?

  1. Huma’s is the perfect body type and face to wear saris like Vidya Balan. She should give traditional, non-designer saris a try. Her beauty is so striking and reminiscent of Meena Kumari and Madhubala and actresses of that period.

  2. It looks like a cheaper knock-off. The body and flare provided by the broader band at the hem is missing entirely. Same for the structure of the neck band. The pants are a lesser downer!

  4. Salwaar or churidaar..doesn’t make much of a difference to such a pretty outfit. I personally like the runway variety because the border is more eloaborate. The disappointment is Huma, who is quite a beautiful woman but didn’t do/comb her hair. It would have made a huge difference to her whole appearance.

  5. She’s teeny, and if she’d worn the salwar with the kameez instead of the churidar, it would have been too much volume on her petite frame. I think the modification works.
