Reception Style

After the Sabyasachi look, don’t blame us for not liking Genelia in this pink lehenga. The hair was messy and the jewellery way too OTT for the already gaudy lehenga. In comparison, Ritesh looked alrite. Atleast, this time the velvet was in the right place.

  1. i like the jewelry … it at least gets your attention away from the lehenga .. that is ridiculously tacktastic… genelia still manages to look pretty though.

    • I think it might have something to do with her “new bride” status. New brides tend to dress heavier, which is fine, but she should have balanced the heavier outfit with lighter jewelry.

    • because in her own wedding, she probably did what she wanted to, and now she is probably wearing what the family warrants the elder bahu to wear.

  3. Why ??? Why this look after a lovely look in that green maroon bridal lehenga. Choice of lehenga is bad. Too gaudy. To top it, the jewellery is also GAUDY. Would have been little better if she had opted for a simpler jewellery. Also if she had opted for a different colour.

P.S. Though there are too many gripes about this gaudy look, she does look pretty in the last close up pic.

  4. Okay I think I may be the only one but…..I love the colors of the lehenga, so festive and she herself is a new bride, so why not! The neck piece is overwhelming, but she still manages to look pretty.

  5. I have a feeling this is more of what she would be ‘expected’ to wear by the in laws rather then what she would choose. This is the first big event after her own wedding and newly weds are expected to dress blingtastically. I

  6. erm, i like it.
[[in the minority here, but who cares!]]
she is still a newly wed, and whats wrong if she keeps dressing up?! Plus, it’s a wedding in the family!
i like it, she is overly dressed up, but why the heck not?

  7. The Sabya lehenga was so fab and she looked so gorgeous, this is a major step down. It would have been a good look only if you are the bride (not that I would wear it even then).

  9. the dress is BEAUTIFUL. but i the hair and jewelry r awful. i think its fine that she still dresses like a bride. when i get married i would love to dress like that 4 the next year. unfortunately considering that i will be living and working in some big city in America that is not likely. my mom had the same problem, she moved to the US as a newly wed and ever really got to dress like one. Genelia is lucky that she can dress like this.

  10. Stop picking on her…she is a newly wed and hence allowed to wear extra bling. I dont fond anything OTT considering she is a new bride and its an Indian wedding in her new family.
