I am not a fan of snake-print on dresses but that doesn’t mean I hate this Kay Unger on Gayatri. I think she still looks great but I would have preferred a solid clutch with the ensemble. A pure black clutch would’ve offset the snake-print better and also not felt like too match-y as the current one feels like with the jewelled sandals.

Gayatri looks great and for a welcome change seems to be one of the (very) few who hardly ever gets it wrong. She works the dress and I agree I am not a fan of snake print or anything snake for that matter but she is most definitely the exception here.

the dress looks better on the model, probably because you can actually see the section between the chest and the waist, on Gayatri, the the whole mid section is one, so the belt looks mis–placed. Love her shoes and I actually like the snake print.

This woman reeks of class.She has a great sense of style that doesnt just shout designer wear. She makes me want to get myself a snake print skirt and I hate animal prints especially reptilian ones.
i wouldnt give this dress a second look if i saw it anywhere, but seeing it on gayathri, reinforces the fact that if won right with the right accessories, even snakeprint can look less gawd-awful! the clutch and sandals are just fine!

Many moons ago I sat through a long film called Swades – which was apparently so long that the image of GJ as “bhartiya naris who change the hearts of NRI men” has got permanently stuck in my head. So whenever I see her in designer gear and hear about the billionaire husband, my mind gets all confused and shocked like surely we are not talking of Gayatri Joshi here?! Surely she is running a school somewhere and looking quite sweet while wearing a 500Rs handloom sari?!
But she always looks lovely, my mind adjusts to this being the real her and then it begins all over again.
