Accessorizing 101

Chanel clutch. Dolce and Gabbana Belt. Jimmy Choo Pumps. Is your head reeling yet?

On an aside, do you go all out when it comes to accessorizing or do you like to mix the uber-expensive with the flea-market bargains?

  1. like i’ve said earlier gauri is nice looking lady who looked her best in saris ( which she occasionally wear)
as for yr Qs P&P , the way money can’t buy u happiness similarly it couldn’t get u style……..
style is something which doesn’t come with a price tag , all u need to do is know what suits u the best (regardless of yr figure ,skin complexion, height or age)

  2. Gauri looks really nice here – and I don’t say that very often about her. But hey, she’s got the money… the status and name to live up to.

Personally, I’m not so big on big brands. Firstly I don’t have the kind of money to shell out on expensive outfits and shoes (though I do spend a lot on bags, but that’s the ONLY exception!). At the same time, I’m not really wearing stuff off the flea market either… haha. Its just decent, quality, moderately priced things, nothing crazy like the stuff you see celebs.

  3. Azul, she has not had cheek implants, she has round cheeks always had them. On her outfit, she looked good there, relaxed, for a change unselfconcious, and most importantly she was looking happy. and NO PINK LIPPIE

  4. Yeah… she’s King Khan wife and entitled to spend his money on all the designer wear she can afford 😛 let her be… and at least for once she’s matched them up well instead of turning out a hot mess!

  5. actually i dont think its a big deal to wear so many brands if they dont clash in some way na?

and we might stroll around collecting flea market stuff but for someone so rich, its not a big deal at all. this is all they possess i guess…branded stuff.

  6. EW she can wear whatever she wants, roll around naked in money and sleep on a bed encrusted with diamonds and yet she will look like Gauri Khan, face dripping in oil and reeking of desperation and looking gross

  7. well said, mad momma. it’s not so much the brands but what you do with it… and nothing’s screaming logo (ok, apart from the belt), it all looks well put together and that’s what matters

  8. mixing the inexpensive with the expensive is so carrie bradshaw..a vintage store dress paired with some Blahniks!!! anyways, I could never afford any of this stuff…but I dont buy dirt cheap stuff off the flea market either. I buy moderately priced fashionable good quality stuff…and frankly i am a firm believer in the idea that its not what u wear but how u wear it…regular stuff pulled off Target sheleves can look great if you make sure you have great skin, hair, well groomed nails and a great personality!

  9. crazy!!!!!

if i had that much money, i think id lose my mind hahah

but as for your question – i definitely like to mix and match my style with both more expensive items and low-end ones. i wore a kensie tunic with a forever 21 belt and threw on a prada bag this summer and people loved it!

  10. Gauri’s always had big chubby cheeks. They’re not implants.

The reason she looks good here compared to some other times is simply because the shine on the face is toned down. I think she’s been using too much glow or light reflecting make-up which photographs very badly and highlights the wrong things. It probably looks okay in person.

  11. I typically get designer bargains at Loehmanns, TJMaxx, Marshalls and the like. I like designer brands not because they are “designer brands” but because their quality is really really good- I have bought dresses 5-10 years ago that still look brand new. And the materials they use (such as silk, cotton etc) and the hardware on the clothes such as zippers, buttons are really good. Of course, I don’t want to pay “designer prices” for them.. so I hunt and hunt and hunt the clearance racks for stellar bargains.. and then occasionally mix these with jackets from forever 21 or something I scored at a great price for ebay.. this gives me a fabulous wardrobe without emptying out my purse:-)..

  12. well, fist of all
    she’s self-consious? awwwwwww…I feel bad now
but she actually looks sort of good here
you know what, I think that if she filled in her eyebrows a bit more, she would look a whole lot better (and is she didn’t do the whole eyeliner on the bottom only-that doesn’t work for anybody)
but yeah, when I have enough money to buy uber expensive things, I’ll totally be mixing them from flea market and vintage stuff, for sure
