  1. Why would you design a dress that is so boring that people are forced to wear it back to front … or for that matters, why would someone pick up such a dress to begin with

I think this back-to-front trend was started by angelina jolie. I just don’t get it, there are zillion dresses out there – if you want an interesting neckline pick up one that has it … its not as if you are strapped for cash and are being creative in saving money

…. that said, this is a wonderful photoshoot …. light and breezy … there is not one dress that i dislike … i especially love the fifth look with the pink skirt with applique flowers …

though it seems more of a summer editorial … i am feeling cold just looking at it … brrrrrrrr

  2. Love the cover..White and baby pink always says young and fresh ! love her smile… Somehow smiles are hard to see in photoshoots because everyone is trying sexy, mysterious, hard to get types looks.

  3. I like this photoshoot – light, breezy and pretty.

But I’ll say it again. Freida is too skinny now. When you can see the veins popping on the legs, then you are in dangerous Angelina territory.

I preferred her old look with some meat on her bones.

  4. All I can say is that this girl just got lucky!! I spotted her in Jaipur very recently like a couple of weeks back and she looks so very ordinary, not a model material at all!

    • most of them look “ordinary” my dear wannabe..without their hair and make up and fashionable clothes..freida is no exception but she has a superb personality and she is not unrecognisable without her make up becuase she wears very little anyway. dont feel bad that she got lucky.. she had something in her that attracted luck to her and not to us!

      • and id like to add…she s a good actress and people like her fashion sense..so which means she has something that draws people to her even if its her niche audience..too bad you dont fall in that category..

  5. some of these are good, some of these are just weird. like the cover…her hair looks so dry and those silly neck pieces and bangles.. looks like sarojini accessories on vuittion.
in one of the pictures she’s slouching, but its a very normal people slouch, not a modelesque slouch and it looks funny.
and the last picture why is she holding the bag between her legs?
i like the skirts though, infact she looks good..whoever photographed this and styled her is idiotic.

  6. i have seen this lady in real this year, she is the fartherst from pretty or beutiful.

i think aside the most amazing dresses she gets to wear thanks to her stylist(s) she is one of the most ordinary looking women out there.

most of our everyday bollywood actresses are better actresses and would have done more justice to this shoot.overhyped!

    • Sometimes simple ordinary Indian features are the most beautiful of all, take it from someone who sees all types of beauty everyday. Freida Pinto is refreshing….lets stop bashing her looks and embracing it.

        • oh she is pretty. you can say she earned fame too fast for way too little. but she is pretty, i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

      • I agree…she has these very typical indian looks which indians don’t appreciate because they are in the fair n lovely world but to ppl out india, this girl is near exotic !

        • ur absolutely right.I think lot of indians are unable to accept the simple fact that she is considered as attractive by the westerners. Its sad to see indians always bashing freida just because she doesn’t fit in to there typical(not fair enough) bollywood mould

  7. I want those outfits in the second and third pic…Freida looks awesome…she does not fit into the Indian conventional sense of beauty but except for a few misses she comes across more polished and less”trying too hard” than the other actresses…she seems so effortless…(Lara Dutta, Diya Mirza ,Anushka they all come acoss as effortless in their style…will not include Sonam in it…her style is a little too contrived…she wears them well but a little too contrived…

  8. Frieda looks beautiful in those clothes, I think her personality stands out, yes the shoot itself is very simple! but again simple is good. in fact simple is great in times of these overdone, heavy dose covers.

and as far her looks go, 99.99% of all the people we see on covers and movies are really nothing without make up. Even to look great with make up you need a certain amount of beauty. Frieda fares really well in that!
