March 9th, 2010 at 7:36 am . by PayalThe Christopher Kane and Anthony Mascolo TIGI Catwalk show was attended by many but only Sabina Chopra and Freida Pinto were spotted wearing Kane dresses. While Sabina wore one from the Fall ‘09 collection, Freida wore a modified one from the more recent Spring 2010 collection. Sabina totally worked the funky hairdo (also shown on the models on the runway) and Freida looked radiant in the yellow dress.
Update: Added pics and oddly they don’t do justice to both the ladies. They looked so much better in person.

never really liked frieda before. she really does look good here. very classy.
Sabina works the do? She looks like a hot mess of hair teased into shock!!! A slavish adaptation of what the designer puts on the ramp. The hair probably has place on the ramp, anywhere in real life a terrifying sight and a tad trashy !! Unless there was some other motive to that hair, promoting the designer or something, in which case pardon my ignorance ladies.

I like Sabina’s outfit and think that Freida’s dress looks better on the model. Sorry but I really do not understand the Freida fuss….she is so plain jane. Our Bollywood actresses are soooo much better but for some reason luck has favoured Freida for the international spotlight. Go figure!

You guys haven’t a clue. She is a million times better looking than most Bollywood actresses. So very pretty and understated. She had to leave racist India to be appreciated.
I don’t know why but i actually hated both dresses. I think Freida looked rather frumpy in hers….Sabina Chopra’s is slightly better.

Wow that dress on Freida is horrible..I mean when you look at it you go ‘oh it’s okay’ but just look at the cut its all horrible..thankfully Freida has a tiny small frame and is thin, because all this dress does is make the person wearing it look wider which is not what any woman wants! Terrible cut! Terrible silhouette! Sabina’s dress is somewhat okay, her hair is just what it is.
Your right.. Freida looks like a canary in that dress… although it looked better unmodified. The sleeves have been removed and the frilly neck suited the dress better; the way the dress has been modified is blah! Thanks to Freida for ruining it. And Sabina, just dress your age!

Hmmm then maybe we should all think twice about dissing a person based on the snap, because if the pics of these 2 ladies are anything to go by, we’ve only your word for it that they looked good. If you hadn’t actually been there, I think they might definitely have landed in your Wthey or Not-quite sections!

Freida’s dress is UGLY! Her shoes are usually the only nice part of her outfit…or at least that seems to be the case in her recent appearances. I don’t really care for Sabina Chopra (although her dress is quite fugly too).

sabina’s hairdo is truly hideous. i think it was a practical joke by the designers.
Both of the dresses are really bad. The last time frieda wore christopher kane, it was a huge disaster too – remember? Freida is overrated as a fashionista – she definitely didn’t deserve to be on all those best dressed lists. I think that some of her outfits are pretty nice (and her shoes are always nice) but that’s about it. There are so many better dressed actresses out there!
Not really getting Sabina’s hair……..love Frieda and though the dress isn’t the most flattering fit it’s quite pretty. I do like her shoes too……any idea who they are by. Since Frieda is wearing them they must be designer!!

I agree with what some one wrote above. The dresses on both look like school projects. And Sabinas hair is a disaster !! Copying runway fashion is not always foolproof.

no idea who sabina chopra is, but this is definately a WTHey for me. she has a sweet face, but the hair and the dress killed it.
those shoes are Cole Haan shoes. not High fashion designer but very nice s well. I dont understand why people are so bitter about freida. The truth is the girl doesnt like loading her face with make up which is why most of u consider her a plain jane. maybe we should have all the other actress’ strip their make up off as well. then we will see plenty of plain janes. including all of us commenting about her. shes one successful girl and for those of u who call her lucky ..u know u will just have to suck it up..becuase she has it and u dont! her dress maybe disastor but that i will pin on the designer who’s dress she was forced to wear!! overated designer for sure!
Look, not ALL of Christopher Kane’s dresses are bad – she picked a very ugly ill-fitting one. We’re not calling her lucky because we’re bitter – we’re calling her lucky because she’s lucky. Look, even Freida said in several interviews that she feels like the luckiest girl in the world, so it would be silly to deny it.
Plus, it’s pretty interesting that you mentioned make-up because there was an article written by the woman who did her make-up for the Waves Concert in Mumbai recently and it turns out that she was actually wearing a lot. The “natural” look requires quite a bit of effort, you know.
There ARE prettier girls out there who are more talented and have better fashion sense. I actually quite like Freida which is why I’m following her on this site, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t admit to her flaws as well.

pegasusbaby…you dont like Freida as much as you would like to be Freida. there will be more talented people and more beautiful people than even a Meryl Streep or an Angelina Jolie ..but u cannot deny the fact that Meryl, angelina and FREIDA have something called the “complete package”
Look, it’s just my opinion. I really didn’t like her dress here and in several other places and the designers who made those dresses have made better. I don’t want to be Freida. I hate the idea of actually being an actress because I’m uncomfortable in front of a camera and don’t like any sort of invasion into my private life.
It’s great for her to have made it so far in so little time, especially considering the fact that she had a rather small role in Slumdog Millionaire – but that doesn’t mean that I have to get down on my knees and worship her.
You have every right to like her and adore her and compliment her…but the reason that I replied to your earlier comment is because you DON’T have the right to insult people and pass judgment on people who don’t like her as much.
I said I quite like her – which is true – but I don’t adore her as much as you do. That does not make me “jealous” and “bitter”. Please try and show some maturity and learn to respect other people’s opinions.
If you think Freida has the “complete package” then you’re free to think so. If I think that she’s got a lot but doesn’t have the “complete package”, then please don’t attack me saying I’m wrong. It’s my opinion, not a fact.
