Freida At Cannes 2013: Jeune & Jolie Screening

Comment image 41

In a beaded Sanchita gown, a luminous Freida Pinto attended the Jeune & Jolie screening on Day Two.

A romantic side knot and red lips complemented the gown perfectly. She also added some dragonfly clips/barrettes in her hair to pick up on the bodice detail. Between the scoop-back of the gown and the clips, it made for great visual detail. Strappy Choos and Swarovski’s bronze, crystal and pearl Oscar box clutch finished out her look.

She looked goood!

  1. Love it! Chic and simple and Parisian.

And she is a high-waisted girl, like me.
Not easy to pull off a belted look, so while the silhouette is not perfect, it is not bad either.

  2. Freida is a pro at Cannes! She looks awesome and her make up is always the highlights of her looks! And she bought the one leg back from last years 😉

PS: who is she wearing is a mysteryyyy !!!:D

    • Agree, Freida looks sane among the lot, yes it’s red carpet and all that but the actors are all there for a purpose and that gets defeated when the dressing becomes hey-look-hard-at-me. A certain amount of restrain shows your state of mind which is I don’t care if people notice me or not

      • I so agree with ……..even though sonam and vidiya look good …..their dressing seems attention seeking + trying to win the fashion race….frieda seems normal , effortless and truly international……..LOVE

      • Exactly! This is called a “Film Festival” for a reason! Let the films be the talking point here. Save your OTT, in-your-face outfits for something like a MET ball. But honestly, if you keep dressing like this, Anna Wintour will make sure you’re never invited to the MET ball.

    • The only Bachchan that has walked the carpet as of now is Amitabh. Aish hasn’t even been there yet so how can you say she tries hard? Just watch she’ll be in something simple and elegant as usual.
Btw nothing wrong with taking risks on the red carpet. Sonam and Vidya are not wrong for taking risks! Fashion is about taking risks.

  3. I am amazed at how different she looks when she switches her makeup and hair. The previous appearance in the pink gown with the braided hair+nude lips was just sad. This one is WOW!

  4. I am not a fan of this straight silhouette on Frieda. Its not the most flattering on her figure. Love the hair and make up. And how high is the slit on her dress. You need to be cautious the whole time !
I want to see Frieda in a saree for a change in Cannes.

  6. Hair and makeup are impeccable. However her gown is ill fitting and looks like it was woven out of Brillo pads.

  7. She looks appropriate for the event and this is how they all dress at awards functions. Frieda would never dare to wear indian wear at such an event, she just blends in with everyone else. Hats off to sonam and vidya i say for doing indian, although i would have given the huge nose rings a miss, small ones are fine.

  9. Shocking she is wearing a Indian designer. I am glad she is anyway. She thinks she is British with the accent and the fame.
I loving the look on her, Stunning!

    • Are you Indian? Do u know the history of your own country? Many Indians when they speak English end up sounding British because British-English is taught in Indian schools.
Freida has never said she’s British. I think she’s proud of her roots. She’s always said she’s a Mumbai girl who got lucky.
