Freida at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala: A First Look

Frieda, the last of the Indian L’Oreal girls making an appearance, made her first (appearance that is) in a Lanvin dress (via RCFA) at the amfAR Gala with beau Dev Patel.

I thought she looked great in her shimmery cocktail dress but would’ve preferred a more interesting choice of footwear.

  2. I’m liking it, she looks really good. The colours are lovely, very peacock style.
    Dev looks good too.
Cant wait to see what else Frida wears at the redcarpet events.

  3. Hate that dress on her. The odd placing of the belt makes her look frumpy when she’s really slim. Although I like that she picked an edgy dress, I wish she’d picked a gown instead (more event appropriate, IMO) because she always gets those right.

  4. she looks fab as always!!! on a side note im assuming that l’oreal did her makeup…so they can match freida’s skin tone but can’t match sonam’s??? odd

  5. Not digging the dress itself…it’s not fitting her well. And those shoes are making her feet look HUGE!! But at least this time the L’Oreal team got the make-up right…

  6. I’m guessing she has the same hair and makeup team as Ash and Sonam (considering they are all there for the same reason); how did she hit the makeup artist jackpot? Good for her, but I wonder why the other women look alternatively haggard and clownish and she always looks fresh.

    • If they all have same makeup team and are using the same makeup L’oreal, then thats the reason, all the makeup brands have features for dusky complexions really well, but what the lack is the yellowish white makeup that is the skin tone of many Indian women, like sonam and aish. also the golden bronze thingi. Specially i europe, i really had a hard time trying to buy makeup here when i went to buy it for the first time, what they call as yello shade r just either too light or too deep, brownish.thats my opinion though, i finally have found something in chanel, but sadly thats not what those ladies endorse and probably cannot use in Cannes

  7. Dev’s pants are way too tight making him look like a teenager.. or maybe he’s actually a teenage.
Freida’s makeup is great..I’m loving the smokey eye but not crazy about the dress and shoes

  8. Wrong dress for this event. I expected her to wear a stunning gown. But neck up she looks fabulous. Loreal did a great job with her makeup unlike Aishwarya’s & Sonam’s makeup during the festival.

  9. Fabulous, edgy dress and absolutely GORGEOUS make-up. I think she looks simply stunning! And I disagree about the shoes being too boring. If the shoes were anything but simple, it would have looked like there was too much going on with the shimmery, edgy, multi-coloured dress.

  10. Freida is looking good but some glittery strappy high heels would have looked more gorgeous with the dress but Why on earth is Dev wearing those skinny pants and school boy shoes!!!

  11. Loreal make her look good!Maybe because “she is worth it”! Couldnt resist. Anyway love the colour on her, the shape not so much because it makes her look bigger than she is.

  12. After watching the makeup disasters on Sonam (It wasn’t the colour that was an issue but the lack of coverage-she looked perpetually tired) I totally appreciate how stunning frieda looks.

The dress looks a little ill-fitted but I’m guessing that it’s meant to be that way..

  13. her makeup looks fantastic. If this is the same team that did the other indian girls, how did they get it so wrong for sonam?
I think they have a separate team for the girls from india (sonam, ash) and a separate one for the ones living abroad (freida)?

My comments get stuck in “awaiting moderation” – now I dont make offensive comments so I am guessing its a technical problem.

  15. Hmm…neck up she looks good, but dont like the dress. Its fit is so bad, especially the neck/shoulder details – making her look much bigger than she is. Also, not a fan of the starnge, shiny colour.
