Masaba’s debut show for Satya Paul was attended by the following ladies that also included Mommy dearest. While the first three opted for Satya Paul saris, Neena stayed loyal to her daughter.

  1. love Neena. Sujata’s bindi isn’t working with that blouse. Mandira’s ok, not exceptionally bad — or good. Feroze, for someone who usually gorgeous in anything she wears, is a huge disappointment. She looks like the saree was thrust on her and she can’t wait to get out of it.

  3. The first two saris are awful. Mandira’s is good, nice graphics. Love Neena Gupta’s sari, the original Masaba look, earthy, desi yet fresh. I don’t see the Masaba Satya Paul collaboration working out in Masaba’s favour.

    • There it is again, that “shockingly, my maid, who you would expect to have tacky taste, wears better saris” rubbish again. Aren’t we done with this yet? Can you try not to conflate poverty and lack of taste?

    • Comments like that are considered uneducated and unsophisticated in old money circles… By the way, most maids I know, wear handloom saris, these have an inherent grace and aesthetic integrity. So yes, most maids do dress better than their mistresses with their tacky, bling designer saris, like the one on Feroze Gujral

    • Satya pauls famous for these silk crepe brightly printed sarees. Actually the material they use be it crepe or georgette is always of a good quality unlike the materials masaba often uses for her own brand sarees.
