In Vijay Balhara

While most ladies opted for red gown, Evelyn opted for a Vijay Balhara look from the recent LFW collection. As gorgeous as the color was, the jacket made her look boxy and the length of the dress being neither at maxi level nor a midi made the look as a whole rather odd. She just looked so awkward.

  1. This is a dress that a woman above 80 would wear to a party.
I am sure that’s what the designer had in mind when he designed this dress. Or maybe he is presenting something that he picked up in a thrift store.

    • The mid length dress with cropped jacket definitely un usual but brave choice for a red carpet outing.Though a mid parting low pony tail would have been more chic minus the dangling earrings.Mint shade is great on her.Evelyn you are a respite from boobs showing and thighs baring red carpet slutty disasters but bright red lips with nice eye make up could have lifted the look a few notches high considering its a simple ensemble.

      • This dress is just not meant for red carpet or anywhere else. I checked out the rest of the designer’s collection and he does have beautiful gowns, my favorite was a mint green gown with silver bodice that would have looked perfect on red carpet. Its unfortunate that Evelyn picked something that was meant for a grandma.

    • Huh, I was about to say “the hills are alive withe the sound of music”…but yes, poppins goes well too. What a disaster.

When will padded shoulders ever be banned from fashion…sigh

  2. Darling Evelyn you look elegant and that color is soothing. The sequins shimmer is shining against your skin.I love the length of the dress in fact.It s not very conventional.I hate conventional stereo type fashion.Oh yeah I like the idea of jacket on a night out.Balanced choice of styling.not too much and not too less.I am not a fan of those shoes though. And yeah the hair style is a bit out of order.

  3. It’s one of the better looks I have seen on her. I know it’s not the usual run-of-the-mill short dress or gown, but I like it! I love the color, the material and the outfit in general.

  4. Thinking Man’s Sex Symbol I would say..BTW 80’s was abt Punk Rock & Roll fashion movement.I dont remember anybody doing a box pleated mid length dress. And Mary Poppins was a bad cross between Dior’s New Look and the rebel of Chanel. Evelyn was different from that herd of red gowns who looked like bridesmaids from Cinderella’s wedding. The last time I remember anybody doing a great Red gown moment was Nicole Kidman in Gucci at Oscars. And this ain’t no Oscars babes. This is Hello hall of fame awards which is personality based awards and you need lot of personality and character to carry a simple fashion moment on Red Carpet like this one.But a better hairstyle could have saved you some flak girlie.
