Esha hosted a screening of Humshakals on Saturday afternoon which was attended by family and close friends. For the screening, it was a casual Nishka Lulla dress that was finished out with a YSL bag and kolhapuri chappals.
She had me at the footwear. Love!

You know, that exact same thought came to mind…
It’s not just one thing (in this case, kolhapuris), but the entire outfit plus style plus suitability (for lack of a better word) that make up fashion. I doubt that Vidya can look so chic in chappals, because she almost always pairs them with salwar suits that don’t always look great on her. Make no mistake, she has the potential to make better fashion choices and look better without renouncing her salwar suits.
Here, Esha sprung up a surprise on us fashion audience by pairing kolhapuris with a rather western-looking dress and a sleek purse. She looks effortlessly chic and relaxed, her hairstyle adds to the vibe and it’s no wonder that she’s getting laurels instead of brickbats.
Not a fan of that dress. Ugly chappals. That colored hair on brown people does NOT work. She seems so happy (cheery) which is making this bearable.
I agree. It’s a horrible dress. Just because she makes it work, let’s not give the designer any credit. Why do these celebs even wear Lulla…free clothes?
She looks so much like Diana Penty here, perhaps because of her hairstyle. On an aside, I wish I could look like her. She’s so cute.
