She looks cute. A little tired, but it is after the mehendi so she probably is. The flower tikka is very nice.

neeta lulla makes some seriously gawdy outfits. I wish esha had gotten something non-designer and spent her money on hair and makeup instead

the flowery ornaments on mehandi started with Aiswarya or it was there before?

    1. Bloo at | | Reply

Flowery ornaments have been there from before I am told by mom. In some of the villages from my region,. they are the main kind of ornaments for ancillary ceremonies like this.. .

        Oh Ok…Thank you Bloo…

Bengali brides wear flower ornaments before their wedding that’s why Ash wore it as Jaya is bengali. not sure why Esha wore it as neither her parents or groom r bengali.

on a side note she looks lovely not sure abt the colors in her outfit though. congrats to the happy couple.

      1. Dips at | | Reply

It’s a Sindhi custom– the groom is Sindhi

The clothes are festive but nothing out of ordinary.

her clothes r very ordinary!! nothing to rave about !!!

    she looks very tired !!!

this outfit is better than the previous one thou ! the range and gold was too much to handle !

Oh she looks so tired, with that under eye puff, its such a spoiler.
one must really organise it in a way to get enough sleep..
Anyways the color is beautiful, its doing nothing to her…
and the outfit surely has nothing designer or tasteful to it…
Though m sure she’l look stunning on her wedding day as every bride does on her big Day.. All the best from my side

I hope atleast for the wedding she wears a kanjievaram and not this filmy stuff.

    1. ak at | | Reply

She is going to be wearing a kanjeevaram, a few actually – apparently, Neeta Lulla is doing a cut and paste job, although from the sketches, not sure if it will end up in a lehnga or a saree. I really hope they leave it at that – i fear that once Neeta Lulla starts to think embellishment, it’s the point of no return.

    2. Shwetha at | | Reply

Ditto! that would do her classic looks much more justice..apparently Neeta Lulla is getting 4-5 kanchivarams and is making into one saree! Hope that turns out okay and stays classic instead of filmy

The hair looks really bad and she looks tired. But I prefer this look to the sangeet.

Wish she had done her hair differently. Will you post Madhu and her lovely saree at Esha’s mehendi…..hope so.

She looks so much like her mother now. And tired! heard its an arranged marriage. The lehenga is too OTT, why dont they understand that less is more:!

  17. Arnaud Hoarau at | | Reply

Wow, what a colourful lehenga!! It’s really stunning to see some much colours on a bride, but it’s still beautiful!!! I like it :)

Its been a while since i came to India, but i love checking out Indian fashions. It just seems to me that all these fancy dresses are soooooo loud and garish. There are so many loud colors and patterns clashing wildly together. A decade ago, somebody would have called outfits like this “clown” or “christmas tree”. Am I hopelessly out of sync or does anyone else long for the good old days?

  19. nimi at | | Reply

no, no, no! the colours on that lehnga is killing me. and why no spend no time on makeup and hair?

  20. kanika at | | Reply

Dont know why celebrities drape their odhinis so terribly… it is never supposed to be that long . it is hiding the skirt

  21. bollymika at | | Reply

ooouuuuccchhh….seems like the lulla mum-daughter have a color wheel, which they spin to get the randomest color…. and its almost like gaudy is there usp…i think i like manish malhotra in comparison.

Esha looks ok here.. looks tried and probably is… i hate the hair …too severe on the top and super frizzy in the bottom.

    Congratulations to the bride…

Oh and someone please arrest Neeta Lulla..

She looks awful. I am sorry to say it as this is suppose to be her time but then who is picking outfits for her. She reminds me of poorly dressed heroines in the 90s. She has money, spend it wisely.

Oh dear is right. I wish that inspite of the lehenga debacle – Ms. Deol had invested more time and effort on makeup and hair. It is her wedding after all. I am fearing what will be the next round for her.

    1. Pooja at | | Reply

I agree…her make up and hair are sad :(…almost limp…i do like the colors of her lehenga though…is a change from the usual…but the maang tikka somehow seems mismatched?! or is it just too big for her forehead…:S

  25. VandanaSingh at | | Reply

I liked her lehnga, better then previous one. She looks tired but still very charming innocent bride. Wish her lots of love in life

  26. Adara at | | Reply

Beautiful. She looks so much like her mom in these pics. Like the colors but wish the blouse was shorter.

  27. krk05 at | | Reply

if this is what she is wearing for sangeet & mehendi, i wonder what her wedding outfit is gonna look like !! i hope she goes the complete opposite way & chooses a traditional southindian saree

  28. PrincessRuchi at | | Reply

    Too Gaudy…

Esha needs eyeliner/kajal. Her face looks blank and tired without it

  29. Rufus at | | Reply

    what happened to her hair?

  30. ispy at | | Reply

    Terrible lehenga …soooo gawdy !

  31. Vanaja at | | Reply

I hope Neeta Lulla retires soon and spare us. P&P, please post Madhoo’s pic from the sangeet, her saree is so elegant..

  32. Sej at | | Reply

Her hair looks terrible. That is the best they (the million fashion/makeup/hair ppl she has at her disposal) cld do with her hair? It kills the look although the rest of the look isn’t mention worthy either.

  33. Bsimple at | | Reply

Maybe I am really tired but there is a certain charm that this look reflects…so old school…it’s a mehndi ceremony and I assume she chose to downgrade the dressy factor just for that reason (mehndi can get messy)…for some odd reason I like it :) Esha looks tired but in a happy place and that’s the charm I am talking about!

  34. Dips at | | Reply

If I were to guess, I’d say this was a hairstyle gone bad– she got it styled, hated it and then just undid the style and let her hair loose.

  35. A at | | Reply

The colors are terrible. Don’t know why anyone would put green, yellow, and orange together like that. Guys don’t be biased just because it’s their wedding.
