It Continues.

The streak continues as Divya gives us yet another look in pink but lucky for her, this head-to-toe pink look isn’t as bad as her last one. ( Or, maybe we’ve just been watching too many soaps! 😛 )

Our only peeve is that dated hairstyle.

Check out pics from the event at The Gallery.

  1. This is too much for a music album launch…
its for family weddings and sangeet and those stuff…
She looks good theoritically.. it wont work for me practically… too much soap’ish for me…. The only thing she is missing is that looonng Mangal Sutra that hits almost the belly button.

May be its the hair? with a different hair I think it’ll work the best for me for my cousine’s wedding

    I like the pink tho

  2. I don’t know how I am saying this (or why I am saying this) but she kinda looks cute !!

I know ! it is kind of a behenjee (or Bahu of soaps) look but I likey !! Wish she had draped the saree more like a bahu …

  3. Hahah, even soaps these days don’t have such dressing, maybe:P
But I like the sari, blouse is not too bad either (relatively speaking), but the jewelery, hair and especially the draping is VERY tacky, she reminds me very much of Deepika tho O_O

  4. I think setting expectations low really works for her. even if she’s like this, we’re thankful that it’s not as bad as she can be!

  7. To the writers of the blog, it astounds me that your only peeve is the ‘dated hairstyle’.
This entire look is pretty horrific..the saree looks cheap and not even in a bad ‘filmy’ way, the blouse even cheaper, and ofcourse the entire look is made even worse ( who would have thought that would be possible ) by the draping!

    TERRIBLE

  8. Though the color and glitzwork is a little garish, I still think she pulled it off quite well. It’s not easy to go bling and not look over the top. Like the peach/bright pink combination.

  9. not everybody has to dress in foreign designers or any any designers. I really like this look mainly because this is what I consider indian Indian apsara look and it is a refreshing change to see people keeping the tradition alive.

  10. I don’t know – acchi lag rahi hai (or any of the other languages – don’t mean to say the Hindi parts only) some parts of the country would say and quite a few men may find it a very attractive look. Its a desi chamak chalo look – fashion perhaps lies in the eye of the beholder. +sari falls nicely.

Its nice of you to span the spectrum and not stick to the bog standard look of some designer dress + It handbag + shoe fetishism.

  11. I think she looks cute. I don’t like the way the sari is draped because it doesn’t really cover the blouse. She loves pink and that’s because she looks good in it.

  12. Seesh! all she needs is a ‘nagin’ head accessory to do the snake dance with. It could pass off as a good retro look, but it simply looks too forced.

  14. Such a pretty girl, so much money and so little style!! It physically hurts me to see her in these clothes. Please hire a stylist Divya. PLEASE.

  15. A proper drape and a different hairstyle would have redeemed this look greatly. But then, this is Divya Khosla we’re talking bout. comin from her, this is ok.

But if this was for wedding etc would have been more acceptable.

  18. I think she looks cute.. and those who are saying that they have started to hate pink because of her.. well what looks good one person doesnt mean it will look good on others as well, you have to choose colors as per your body type and complexion.

  19. She’s such a beautiful girll.. with no dressing sense.. although this time she did fair better then most of her previous public appearances.

  20. I think she looks really cute, albeit in a VERY tacky way. Her hair style is way off. I think she should have balanced the soap opera-sihness of that dress with an elegan hairdo. I dont see why every body is so against the drape. The sari is an item of clothing for god’s sake, OBVIOUSLY draping styles are going to change over time. I dont understand why we all insist on dressing the same way as our great great grandmothers .

  21. haha, pnp, maybe you are watching too many soaps.

its all a bit jingly- straight out of hum apke hain kaun disasterish. too much color. the fuschia pink and orange is very lajpat nagar punju, and the draping, contact lenses and jewellery is a bit too delibrate. while she has a sweet face, this whole look is really quite abysmal. especially for a launch.

and yes, this blog is slightly prejudiced and ‘different rules for different people -ish’

  22. @chic chick: I agree with you. For that matter even sleeveless blouses can be seen as too ‘tacky’. Well of course it’s a matter of opinion either way.
