It was an Archana Rao sari for Divya while at a recent awards event. Wearing her hair back, she finished out the look with earrings from Zahana and a nose-ring from Benaazir.
I wish we saw less of the blouse and more of the sari. And had she draped the pallu wider, the rose motif would’ve shown as well. As it briefly did on Ms. Kumar’s Instagram page! Also, the lip color was much too jarring for the look… Wish she had picked a softer/lighter/paler/nuder glossy pink instead. As is, this was bit of a lost opportunity.

The need to drape the pallu narrowly and make sure no one is forgetting what lies beneath is quite strong among these celebrities. It’s sad and insecure. Divya especially is quite prone to these drapes.
Coming across as tacky. What happened to the phase where she did a 180? No more stylist? Wish she had worn the pallu loose with a pearl necklace. If the necklace is too predictable, then maybe a kada with pearl work or maybe the Nicholas Kirk wood sandals with pearl heels.

Man! She will never get it absolutely right. Something or the other is either always missing from her looks or more than one elements will be too jarring. Waist up, there are so many interesting elements & waist down, it is just one plain white colour… somehow this doesn’t gel well!
