A Sari Face Off

Kirron has dominated the sari category so much that we are glad to see some competition in the form of Dimple.

Who do you think “rocks” this face off?

  2. Dimple for sure — she looks fab here. I think the reason we are tiring of Kirron Kher is that we see her here quite frequently and we have sort of seen her do “her thing” quite a few times…Dimple is refreshing and she looks great too…maybe the careless way the saree seems to be tied is adding to the whole thing in a poisitive way!

  3. Dimple is always looking fab in her Abu Jani Sandeep Khosala creations. This saree is another of the designer duo’s ghota sarees. I just love Dimple….. have always done.

  4. Oh these gorgeous sarees that look so much like the stunning gold-bordered mundus worn by women in Kerala. Now if only one of these actresses has the bright idea of rocking a mundu!

  5. Kirron, easily.

See, the thing is you have to carry a certain image, an aura per se, to wear a sari well. Kirron has that personality and easily owns this look. Dimple, for one, is wearing a very unflattering Sari (I have a feeling its a similar design as one she wore at last Filmfare event). Secondly, I personally like her best in Salwar Suits (not the Jaya Bachchan type, but more nicer ones haha).

  6. Dimple’s sari looks too chamku with some sort of sequence stitched on to a cheap blue chinese silk fabric. Give me Kiron’s silk sari any day…it looks so understated and classy.

  7. In this round I would pick Kirron… but Dimple just needed to brush that hair and maybe pick a better necklace..(what is that on her neck)

  8. I prefer the way Kirron’s sari is drapped – it looks more neat. Dimple, though I adore her, is looking as if her sari is constantly spilling off her body and she’s constantly tossing it back across her shoulder. Plus the open hair is not flattering, on either woman actually. Even Jaya Bhaduri leaves her hair open most of the time, as does Rekha. Messy hair is ok on teenagers but it just does not look flattering on women of that age particularly those with long hair. It makes them look hag-like, which is unfortunate because they are all very beautiful women and would look absolutely smashing with their hair in a neat bun or updo and a well-draped sari (think Hema Malini).

  10. kirron for sure. dimple’s face looks great – but that’s about it. the saree looks cheap with all those sequins, and the blouse is so unflattering. plus the beads – it looks like she has some sort of sadhu-turned-glam look going on here…meanwhile, kirron’s saree is not only gorgeous and classy, but she also wears it better (much better pleats, i have to say). though, i really did want to vote for dimple 🙁

  11. Kiron now is a safe sari wearer..she rocks most of the time. But this time Dimpi carries it off better..she is confident, and strangely the chamku works for her. she cleverly put the muted rudraksh mala rather than a glittering foible. Her clutch is not droolworthy, but clean and unfussy. Kiron’s jhola is boring this time, predictable. I would prefer a higher palloo instead of a street sweeper on her. yup, chamku and all, dimpi does better here.

  12. i love the way dimple looks here. the blue on the sari is shocking and rocking. she looks easily beautiful, and is wearing such a wonderful smile. she looks like a woman at peace with herself and the world.

  13. Kirron Kher wins this round for keeping it simple and elegant. Dimple’s sari looks like it was made by sticking a wide sparkly tape from a crafts store. Maybe if the border was flipped (and the blue side was the front), she would’ve looked better.

  14. Both get my vote here. have you noticed that kirron has the same style of wearing the pallu…only two layers..i like that style. dimple looks fab even at this age…loved the rudraksha with the saree and hair my god it’s the HAIR that adds glamour to her bohemian style….btw i saw her holding hands with a younger looking man in some pics…i wonder if that’s her boyfriend…anyways Kirron and Dimple look equally amazing!!

  15. I think Dimple wears the sarees much better, she manages to get some shape whereas Kiron wears fab sarees but does not wear them as good. They don’t give her any shape at all. Dimple knows the art of wearing a saree.I prefer Dimple’s saree minus the too much shine on the border.
