It seems white is her favourite colour.

All her wedding attire have beige blouse, and my opnion is beige blends with her skin tone and doesn’t complement it.

I think we are so used to high octane bling by Bollywood brides that Dia’s quiet elegance seems bewildering. But this quiet?! This outfit is practically mother of the bride!

Love it that she stuck to her muted, elegant palette for her wedding and didn’t feel the need to change it up to the usual desi colours of bright reds and pinks.

Something so wonderfully old school/almost vintage about this whole look. I don’t know why this reminds me so much of Waheeda Rahman. What a beautiful, non-blingy, not-overdone bride!

I love the fact Shantanu&Nikhil make Indian fashion so contemporary. This Lehenga for example is the best look of simplicity meets luxury. They have taken their brand to a whole new level and now every modern bride would only like to wear simple stuff. We love them for their conviction. Kudos

Oh. My. She just set the bar unattainably high for any Bollywood bride. Hopefully, women will follow, and start choosing ageless elegance over tacky bling now.

I ALWAYS, ALWAYS look forward to when women with understated, elegant style get married, because I want everyone to know that a wedding outfit need not be a colourful, tacky hot mess all the time. Thank you Dia for staying true to your style even on your special day.

I agree that understated elegance is a welcome and refreshing change from the hugely popular jewel tones that most Indian women adore. Naturally, designers comply. Dia Mirza looks absolutely lovely. The emerald jewelry is a nice contrast to the neutral tones- gold, apricot, off-white. Wish she had chosen to wear all gold bangles though. But, lovely all the same.
