Lehenga Ladies- Part Deux!
January 31st, 2012 at 6:13 pm . by PriyankaThese ladies went the lehenga route too at the Sangeet. Of the three, Dia was our favorite and Anusha, our least favorite. Not a fan of the lehenga, nor the way it was worn. Nishka too looked pretty great but needs to change up the hair every now and then.

LOVE Nishika’s outfit! It’s the perfect balance btwn traditional embroidery and modern silhouette!
Hmmm… wonder if we are seeing the same pic. I am missing the ‘modern silhouette’ bit here.
On an other note, incongruous colors, over use of embroidery (traditional or otherwise), patchwork, motifs and Zari – the above outfits are simply too costumey – wedding or not.
I love Nishka’s lehenga…and cute butterfly on it. But she looks like a mannequin to me..same pose,hair & smile all the time and just change of closed. Plus in indian attrire i prefer dia’s pose.. Icant stand hand resting on waist in indian wear.

What’s this new penchant among people to look like overblown circus tents? The excess of colour, bling, fabric on each outfit- all add up to a tasteless and eye-searing mess.

I like anushas blouse…but it does not go with the rest of the outfit…its too folk and should have been paired with something that had thread work rather than zardozi…
Love the jewel tones at weddings. All these women have fab outfits, Dia especially because she’s wearing hers well.
I like nishka’s ghagra. It’s fun and her style is very distinct. It’s wot I like abt her. Dia looks graceful. While anusha ..I wonder how she is hosting style check her lehenga is bad.
