Sari Style

We may be in gross minority here but, we didn’t think this look was among Dia’s best. The choker just doesn’t work with the sari. Not big on the hair either!

  1. It’s not that I dislike this look, it’s just that this is the sort of look she always goes for and I’ve seen her do this so much better before.

I would love to see her change things up and go for something dramatic. Maybe a vintage 20’s flapper dress with dramatic smoky eyes? She could pull of vintage glamour perfectly.

  2. She has a great body but the sari doesn’t highlight it at all and instead makes her look frumpy. The messy hair adds to the woes. Maybe a cute fishtale braid instead.

  3. There is a vry thin line line between simply indian and “behenji” look…..dia has crossed that looking behenji in this. I think the choker and hair is to be blamed.

    • It’s rude to call her behenji. Maybe it’s not her best choice of outfit but she looks fine and she’s usually spot on fashion wise.

  5. I do not like her sari, not age appropriate,. The truth is that no one looks good in a white sari anymore when you compare them to sridevi in the white sari she wore a few weeks ago. That image is etched in my mind, I compare everyone with her and they all fall short.

  6. I am in the minority here (judging by the comments above), but I love it. She looks so refreshingly “un-styled”. The sari is a lovely natural weave, and the choker is gorgeous. The hair is lovely too.

And she looks so radiantly happy! That’s the best part. Sure she’s pretty, but I’ve never really thought her beautiful until this look here.

  7. I may be in the minority but I love it…She looks stunning and very well put-together. I think the hair is pretty nice too..No diferent from the side-braids that are all the rage these days..I like that the sari is muted and the choker is the attention-grabbing accessory. Love!

  9. I must say that this was badly photographed. Because on stage, Dia in that saree, looked like an angel. It was really amazing. I’ll be happy to send across a photograph. 🙂

  10. Dia is beautiful. Wish she wore a simple necklace instead of the choker. That’s just a minor gripe, she looks lovely nonetheless.
