In Sabyasachi

Deepika was one of the many celebs to attend the launch event of You We Can Fashion, an initiative by Yuvraj Singh. The actor donned a velvet loose fit dress by Sabyasachi, wearing it with a clustered pearl Isharya neckpiece, her Saint Laurent shoulder bag and ankle-strap sandals.

Velvet can be a tricky material to pull off but she did it effortlessly. Heart this look!

P.S: Shop her Saint Laurent bag here.

  1. From a balmain ripoff in his last collection to this chanel styled look . It’s sad to see a brilliant designer who started becoming a money making shadiwala . Of course commerce is important but then also so is innovation in design . Indian fashion is at such a sad state . Trying to relevant as other pret designers but still scared to break the mould .

Pretty much. He’s become a victim of his own success at this point :(.

  2. It looks like velvet maternity wear. Sabya has run out of ideas. Face wise she looks nice. Even the pearls look so stark against that velvet.

  4. Such a disconnected look. A bad look shouldn’t be given a pass thanks to a gorgeous face and bad design can not be given due thanks to past success. Fail.

  5. Such a bland disconnected look. This is designer wear? The poor thing looks like she’s wearing a lampshade. The only thing I like about this whole look is the pearl necklace, excluding the choker-ish part.

  6. She’s a stunner. Her stylist and the designers her do no justice here. The neck-piece looks like a long strand wrapped haphazardly, while the dress is amateurish. She deserves better.

  7. I was present for the event in person, and I’d like to add that she looked even more stunning in real life. The pictures do no justice. Also the dress has an interesting low back that makes it look less sack-like.
