In Sabyasachi

Deepika unveiled the Mastani poster today in Mumbai wearing a Sabyasachi long kurta lehenga look. Hair in a middle parted do, her look was finished out with a red lip, earrings from Amrapali and a ring from Tanishq.

She looked pretty but considering she just sported a creamish white look, I was hoping for a more colorful outfit here.

  1. Time to fire the stylist ! Except a couple of times she has worn only white or cream colored outfits she was styled by Shaleena Nathani. None of them phenomenally good and doing justice to the gorgeous Deepika

  2. There’s a sense of deja-vu with all her recent appearances. With her beauty, charm and grace one can’t help but feel a sense of yearning to see a myriad different looks on her!

  3. I felt like I’ve seen DP in a similar outfit.

She always looks lovely as ever. But, a change of color would be beautiful 🙂 I know white is gorgeous too, maybe it’s her favorite color… but just saying.
I know one of our most beautiful actress of all times, Madhubala loved white sarees 🙂

  4. In many of the interviews deepika has said that white is her favourite colour. And I don’t mind if she repeats it because she is looking absolutely gorgeous. And I don’t understand the “change it up” comments. One doesn’t need to experiment all the time, this is her signature style and she looks lovely in it.

    • Really, white is her favorite :), it’s a very pure color.. I love it too. Even, Madhubala loved to wear plain white sarees, and it looks completely ethereal on her.
And, I agree with you.. Deepika doesn’t need to change. She’s just beautiful as she.

  5. I hate this change it up comments as well. Vidya needs to change why? Now Deepika needs to why? If she is comfortable and looking lovely why change it?
    She is looking lovely.
Not everyone wants to become an “Icon” or a brand hoarder.
Deepika is talented and beautiful.Doesn’t need all this gimmicks of so called being fashion forward.

    • I would disagree here. Deepika has no signature style of her own and has not stuck traditionally to one particular type of outfit, makeup or hair. Hence the comments here are on her need to change. Deepika has set that expectation herself. On the other hand Vidya, Nandita, Katrina (when it comes to her hair), Kiran Rao, Kalki have a signature style of their own and no one expects them to change.

Oh, and I am sure Deepika would herself disagree. She is here to be an icon and make the moolah from her brand endorsements.

      • Well everyone in the show biz is there to make moolah. But not everyone has to be Brand Hoarder or Over dramatic every Press meet.
So She doesn’t have a particular style? What is the big deal? So what u are saying is she changes up a lot right? So why are people compalining then? She looks good here. Tht is all there is to it. Doesn’t have to go over dramatic every freaking time.

        • Exactly my point. Since she is changes her outfits a lot, why the sudden urge to stick to white traditional outfits. Which is why everyone is complaining as they expect more. And no one would if she always stuck to white traditional outfits. But that has not been the case.

      • Which proves my point. She doesnt and so wht are people complaining abt? She is beautiful ,talented and can get away with anything she wears. She is not a brand hoarder nor self proclaimed Icon.
And everyone on this earth is here to make moolah FYI.

  6. She looks ethereal. …who cares if she is repetitive….sonam kapoor experiments a lot …but there are times when she has looked like a clown….so it’s better to play safe and look pretty….but I feel she is
