Quite true but i still like it. I love the hair and the dress on her.

Totally agree. It’s just not chic anymore.

I like the cover, but yes Payal i completely agree with you, the bow would have looked so nice!

Actually, I like better on Deepika. Runway look is more stiff and to me it only look good on runway. it also looks bit masculin–therefore I opt for softer look of Deeps.

Only wish Deeps had belt on ..that to me is chic.

Off with the sarees finally! Deepika looks great – I can’t really imagine how the bow-tie would make her look better or understand how it can become the best part of this dress? I love these crochet-type dresses! Love it!

yeh! love it on deepika…and love love love the crochet! that’s the main highlight of the dress to me anyways…bow-tie is just an addition. not the mainstay

I like the dress better on Deepika than the model, maybe because it seems to highlight Deepika’s gorgeous flawless skin. She looks like in a dream

i like it better on Deepika actually, i am hating the bow tie on the model and that opened shirt is totally highlighting Deepika’s gorgeous bone structure

i agree! this suits deepika more than being buttoned up

My sentiments exaaactly. I think it kills the dress? If the bow was too bold for Deepika to pull off for everyday wear I understand, but certainly not too strong for a cover? Wonder what the stylist was thinking?

Deepika looks nice. But well the cover itself is just another typical magazine cover with fan blown air, some airbrushing and all.

I quite liked the cover and the dress looks cool on her too..But I agree with you, The bow-tie was indeed the chic element of the outfit!

Completely agree with PnP. Unlike the title “Daytime Chic” Deepika doesn’t look chic at all. In fact, she has “oh look at me I could be sexy look”. They took the right dress and made it wrong! Bad styling.

She has a thing for boring black leather strap watches.

    1. Monkey at | | Reply

I think she endorses Tissot watches, maybe they are those?

    2. ZI at | | Reply

She’s the brand ambassador for Tissot. Maybe thats why.

puhleesee even teens think that bow ties r too young for them.. its a no no for adults!

  16. D at | | Reply

    I want that dress!!

  17. sachita at | | Reply

a bow tie would have killed this dress on deepika. she looks good here.

    and seriously bow ties?:)

  18. devila at | | Reply

you are right..minus d bowtie and belt this is jus a long sweater wid a shirt! so meh!! thus jus becomes another boring magazine cover, where’s d fun in dat?

  19. kumar at | | Reply

bow tie or no bow tie the dress in itself doesnt look anything like a bazaar cover. a dull white and black combo dress with washed out makeup n hair!?? gimme some red lips, flowy dress, flowers..!!

  20. J at | | Reply

Bow tie wouldve looked too harsh for the cover even though its good on the runway. And maybe Sonam could’ve carried it off but its so not Deepika’s style. Agree with the stylist here….Deepika looks good!

  21. sabita at | | Reply

I love the bow tie on the dress and it gave the dress that extra edge…the styling on deepika unfortunately has reduced it just another dress…

  22. rB at | | Reply

totally hate the hair extensions..and if they wanted long hair they couldve done so much more.. than just go straight

  23. Nat at | | Reply

    With bow tie=more Sonam-esque
    Without bow tie=Totally Deepika.
Love the cover. Love the dress and simply LOVE the hair and how it looks on her.

  24. Kin at | | Reply

meh….that’s high fashion gone extremely cliche’, safe and boring! they could’ve done so much with a dress like that.

  25. KityPurry at | | Reply

I HATE it! BAD make-up(dull!) and boring hair. The bow tie is what made the dress special. This is SO ordinary.

  26. R at | | Reply

I don’t like bow ties. On anyone! So maybe that’s why I prefer the dress on Deepika.

  27. swati at | | Reply

deepika looks nice …. a bow tie ….. ummm …. real life – no, but on a cover – why not….. A lot of covers just want to look ‘pretty’
…. these days, no one does quirky, fun, edgy, whimsical etc etc ….

its a pretty standard far –
beautiful actress + designer dress + fan blown hair with extensions = magazine cover.

The Hair distracts me. Looks very dated.

  29. PRADAgirl at | | Reply

i dont like it, hair is bothering me n like someone said its a sexy shoot when it should’ve been a chic one

  30. sheena at | | Reply

how could anyone allow this as a cover?? they have even made deepika look bad.

    1. KityPurry at | | Reply

exactly. although it’s not surprising. she mostly looks blah only.

  31. meria at | | Reply

i love it but it looks too executive.

  32. ko at | | Reply

    deepika looks absoultely GORGUS

  33. arpitha at | | Reply

I like the look (just not the hair extensions), she looks nice and a nice body.

  34. Faby at | | Reply

How amazing it would have looked with a bow tie!! Ahhhh I can only wish it was there on cover too!!!!!!!!!

  35. Neelu at | | Reply

You’re right! Thats the first thing I noticed about the photo cover. Something wasn’t right. Bow tie looks so classy!!

  36. fruitytea at | | Reply

Dpad as always looks great, and a neat D&G creation. they left the bow tie out to highlight her collar bones, lovely skin… yes, skin show was the reason to throw away the bow tie :)

  37. barbecuesauce at | | Reply

and check how she works the dress- the minus bow tie mood is ‘flirty chic & effortlessly sexy! good job Dee, you are a great model!
