I’m just happy to see her hair down after a long time. The dress looks great on her as well.

Wish she didnt wear those earrings…Diamond or no diamond..Kangana would have pulled this off better… BTW where is Kangana … miss her appearances!!

She won’t be coming to awards ceremonies..That’s a big miss for us from fashion standpoint.

Wow, this is considered quite muted for Deepika whose award appearances tend to be quite glamourous. Don’t like the gown though – weird proportions.

Meh. The gown is meh and I can’t believe I’m saying this but her makeup is off too :(

I love Deepika, I really do (and it kills me to say this!), but that looks like one of the period curtains from Lingaa has been wrapped around her. Yuck to the shiny fabric.

Oh no .. So disappointing .. No edge, no glamour. Just meh

    She looks lovely.

Also she opted for a soft feminine look after so long!

She is lovely neck up. But that’s not a very flattering gown. Plus it looks kinda 1980s.

The make up is TERRIBLE! The gown does nothing for her. Like someone said it actually looks like curtains, pulled off the curtain rod and draped around her. The hemming at the bottom is bad and makes the dress look creased. The earrings have no connection with the dress! Citron and nude??!

Agree that this looks like it’s made of satin curtains. Also the color doesn’t work with her skin tone.

I think she looks like her Om shanti Om days. The make up is a refreshing change. The missing red lips gives a new and different look..And no white washing. :) (thumbs up)

hey that looks like a curtain ..sorry Deepika and Anaida..

She looks pretty and I like that she’s changed her boring hair up and oxblood makeup nails but have to say sonam beats her by miles and miles.

Is it necessary to bring in a comparison?

Dior please fire and hire, what are these dresses. Deepika is so pretty

I can’t believe that is dior. Horrendous!! However, Deepika managed well.

For a sec…I thought this was Diana Penty.

I love the gown…easy and breezy…. n the minimalistic approach with the accessories.

hot pink lips would have elevated this look so much…not liking either the gown or her makeup

I think a lot of it has to do with the lighting and flash. Most of the photos from red carpet events in the west are color corrected to remove the harsh effects of flash. Whereas in India all the photos are with the horrid flashes, highlighting the sheen of the gowns and the makeup. Wish they had better backdrops and lighting for all the award ceremonies in India . The above is such a bad photo, I cant even !! Mr. Viral Bhayani are you listening? It looks like a photo straight out the camera with zero exposure adjustments :)

To add to my comment above, in all the 3 pictures, Deepikas hair has virtually disappeared into the backdrop!

I cant believe that is Dior. This looks so tacky. She should learn from J Law how to wear Dior elegantly.

I too can’t believe this is dior.
