In Cue

In a Cue silver dress, Deepika launched Tissot’s new collection today in Mumbai, pairing the dress with black sandals, pulled back hair and red lips.

I really really want to like this look but my biggest problem is the fit of the sleeve and the shoulder pad. Because the sleeve isn’t fitted and the shoulder pad hangs out, Deepika looked a wee bit lopsided in my opinion. One arm was teeny and the other looked bulky.

Any other day, I would’ve loved to see the pony but not today. Open hair, would’ve balanced out this look more.

What say you?

  1. There’s a very popular Australian clothing line called Cue, are these clothes worn by deepika here and neha dhupia some time ago from the same collection or Cue is a name of a collection by an Indian designer? coz i have never seen these clothes in the Australian Cue shops!!!

    • think its the camera angle. the photogs must be really low as u can tell her shoes looks bigger. or maybe shes so tall n with those heels she musta towered everyone.

  2. all i can say is HOLY TONED ARMS! I like it actually not a bad dress, the shoulder pads or fit dont bother me cuz its not a super fittin dress to begin with. the shoes are a killer. yea, just wish her hair was open with some earrings.

  3. P&P..looks like you are in a deepika bashing mode these days…think she looks great with red lips and pulled back hair..she cant be faulted for the slightly loose sleeve, its a memo for the stylist tho..

On a separate note, we’ve seen a similar Cue dress on Aishwarya for Vogue shoot before..

  4. ooooohh dont like the sleeve at all!no sleeve at all would’ve worked better, the dress length is awkward!erm a pet peeve of mine-its not ‘open’ hair ‘closed’ hair, its loose or tied up/back 🙂 sooorry couldn’t resist!

  5. A pony is good option for a dress which has one side shoulder details, but since her face is small curly or wavy hair might have been better.
u should have posted some closeups too.
She looked very nice in the closeups & some long shots.
In these photos her face looks small for the rest of the body.

  6. AB FAB from me… she is stunning… the dress isn’t supposed to look all over fitted… esp with the stretch and work of the fabric… the raised bar of the shoulder pad creates that extra fabric as a feature not just surplus. Sorry… I’m a pattern cutter grad – just the techi in me!

  7. oh.why ?! i was just warming up to sequinned dresses nd coats(zara has this awesome sequin blazer) as its going to be big in winters fashion wise..one look at this and my love for sequin jus died :(. It looks that tacky, ill fitted and terrible on her.

  8. Um, awkward. Seriously, that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this.
I like nothing about this look at all. The hairstyle is awful (on her), the dress is hideous and the shoes are meh. I never thought I’d see Deepika in this state. But then again, I’ve set my hopes pretty low on these Bollywood actresses. :/

  9. totally agree with P&P here. the perfect verdict. Deepika just tried TOO hard.. don’t like her a bit.
The shoulder pad looks awkward and also as you said open hair should have worked.

  10. Head looks too small for the body, hair does not balance this out by being too stern (maybe loose hair would have hidden the shoulder pads too), Shoulder pad sticking out of body frame making Deepika’s frame look manly neck down. Skinny waist and dress length adds to the pain value. Shoes … blah …

Deepika also forgot to work her charm and expression and looks out of place…
