Keeping It Casual

With her movie about to be released, it’s no surprise that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Deepika lately. At two recent appearances of hers, she kept it casual by picking a floral dress at one, and a denim strapless at the other.

While we don’t expect every appearance to be one in major dresses, some effort would be nice. Especially for someone as beautiful as her, where half the battle is already won. The denim is so cringeworthy, hardly A-list actress material.

  1. Ladies & Gentlemen,

    Please welcome!! *drum rolls*

    The New Priyanka Chopra Wannabe!!!!!!!

No seriously, what is with these girls and the absolute compulsion to wear over the knee dresses…and the thing with Deepika is that she’s quite big built, so it makes her look funny and childish somehow…learn how to dress chic and not like an 18 year old puhlease!!!

    • She is young! Let her be! Ash is 37 going on 57 sometimes… let them be! I’m 27 and would wear clothes Deepika wears… Soon we’ll be older and bogged down with it all – at least here in London she dresses perfectly normal! xx

    • Priyanka chopra wannabe? Seriously. I thought this girl is criticized for her lack of interest in dressing up. she does what she likes and suits her age. Not something we expect out of an A list actress but it is endearing in some ways.

    • I agree with the dressing like an 18-yr old bit, but I think it’s more to do with the dress itself than the length. Anyway, in both these appearances she looks like a Forever21 mannequin; except that the F21 models are better put-together. I mean, she’s a freaking film star; she should leave these cutesy tween dresses for Nishka Lulla next time.

    • i think it is perfectly age appropriate, she always dresses much older than she is. this is a refreshing change for her. and she looks pretty nice here.

  2. she looks good in the denim dress. The other outfit is another story…. may have looked better if she had left that horrible belt at home. She is really beautiful.

  3. Finally! She really dressed her age and the hair looks so neat. It does not matter how simple the dresses are. Deepika looks great! Very, very pretty!

  4. the white dress minus the beltis ok.

denim dress makes her look bigger and i hate the lipstick shade and glasses.seriously, try looking at her neck up, the combo makes her look way too older

but totally trash someone who works hard, dresses well and does not look like a page from a fashion catalogue… and whats this snobbish comment about being an A-list actress material, shes gone for a screening yaar..that too not her own movie..

she looks cute with the glasses

and it’s meant to be a private screening so i like that she dressed like any other person on the street would

  7. hello she is a human bean, she obviosuly doesnt have to always wear ‘a major dress’…i think she looks so cute, and by wearing garments which are not designer brands all the time, I think this helps her connect with the audience better. And how is the denim cringeworthy, she looks fine in it, and them glasses shes doing the ‘geek chic’ look! fab! and about time she has her hair out!

  9. I actually love both these dresses, I guess this is her personal style. Doesn’t matter if someone’s A-list or D-list, I think people have their own styles. Her style is casual and sporty. As long as she has aesthetically pleasing clothes and dresses event-appropriate, doesn’t matter if she has on a gown or a knee-length dress. But yes, I would love for her to change it up sometime 🙂
