I think if the denim dress were darker, it would have been better. But she is carrying off both the looks well. Love the glasses on her.

yes indeed she does look nice with glasses on…i like the casual look.

its actually nice seeing her dress her age for once. doesnt always have to be long flowy pageant gown, hair and makeup.

    Ladies & Gentlemen,

    Please welcome!! *drum rolls*

    The New Priyanka Chopra Wannabe!!!!!!!

No seriously, what is with these girls and the absolute compulsion to wear over the knee dresses…and the thing with Deepika is that she’s quite big built, so it makes her look funny and childish somehow…learn how to dress chic and not like an 18 year old puhlease!!!

She is young! Let her be! Ash is 37 going on 57 sometimes… let them be! I’m 27 and would wear clothes Deepika wears… Soon we’ll be older and bogged down with it all – at least here in London she dresses perfectly normal! xx

There r lots of ways to look young my friend :)

Priyanka chopra wannabe? Seriously. I thought this girl is criticized for her lack of interest in dressing up. she does what she likes and suits her age. Not something we expect out of an A list actress but it is endearing in some ways.

I agree with the dressing like an 18-yr old bit, but I think it’s more to do with the dress itself than the length. Anyway, in both these appearances she looks like a Forever21 mannequin; except that the F21 models are better put-together. I mean, she’s a freaking film star; she should leave these cutesy tween dresses for Nishka Lulla next time.

Actually, and I regret knowing this, but some of F21’s models this season are wearing those stupid poser glasses. Ugh.

Oh and I agree, she’s totally the next PC wannabe (but PC might be a smidgen more talented) (relatively).

i think it is perfectly age appropriate, she always dresses much older than she is. this is a refreshing change for her. and she looks pretty nice here.

she looks good in the denim dress. The other outfit is another story…. may have looked better if she had left that horrible belt at home. She is really beautiful.

    that waist is tiny!

The white dress is very Forever21ish but still quite nice on her, The denim look does not work.

Finally! She really dressed her age and the hair looks so neat. It does not matter how simple the dresses are. Deepika looks great! Very, very pretty!

Yeah, she looks very pretty even in these ordinary dresses.

the white dress minus the beltis ok.

denim dress makes her look bigger and i hate the lipstick shade and glasses.seriously, try looking at her neck up, the combo makes her look way too older

P&P..you are sooooo biased….. u go absolutely gaga over someone like sonam..who just basically copies firang starlets or designer catalogues..
but totally trash someone who works hard, dresses well and does not look like a page from a fashion catalogue… and whats this snobbish comment about being an A-list actress material, shes gone for a screening yaar..that too not her own movie..
i think Dips looks suuuuuper cute….and natural !!!!

get some perspective in life girls!!!!

      Spot on!!!
Dipika looks like any other young girl out watching a movie….I love both the looks..

That dress with that belt? It looks too tween for me. It’s like she’s standing outside waiting for Justin Bieber.

  12. Megha at | | Reply

i quite like the second look inspite of not being a fan of denim dresses

she looks cute with the glasses

and it’s meant to be a private screening so i like that she dressed like any other person on the street would

hello she is a human bean, she obviosuly doesnt have to always wear ‘a major dress’…i think she looks so cute, and by wearing garments which are not designer brands all the time, I think this helps her connect with the audience better. And how is the denim cringeworthy, she looks fine in it, and them glasses shes doing the ‘geek chic’ look! fab! and about time she has her hair out!

My goodness this womans face is so beautiful. the denim dress is ugly but she looks great.. wow. and her legs.. ahhhh

i have no complain with either…this post made me smile for some reason. Lack of effort can be enchanting at times :)

The first appearance is all wrong..with that weird hair and unnecessary belt.
The second, however,is fun and quirky and very age appropriate!!

but she makes it all work and thats all that counts.LOVE her in the denims and glasses-quite geeky chic!! And it so doesn’t matter whether u wear designer/non-designer.Looks great!

Dude, on her a potato sack would look A-list. I love how she doesn’t try so hard to be fashionable like Sonam.

  19. VirgoVixen at | | Reply

I actually love both these dresses, I guess this is her personal style. Doesn’t matter if someone’s A-list or D-list, I think people have their own styles. Her style is casual and sporty. As long as she has aesthetically pleasing clothes and dresses event-appropriate, doesn’t matter if she has on a gown or a knee-length dress. But yes, I would love for her to change it up sometime :)

While I dislike the denim dress I am still happy Deepika chose to dress her age.

  21. bongbabe at | | Reply

i dont like either of the dresses, but for god’s sakes, leave her be. she is dressing her age. if i had legs like that i’d wear short dresses too.

With a face and body like that she can make anything work. Period!
