In Anushka Khanna

For promotions in Delhi, Deepika was spotted in an Anushka Khanna, a look that was presented on the runway without the dupatta. The all grey runway look had a sexy cocktail vibe but the addition of the pink dupatta in an attempt to create a fusion look, took some of that effect away. Also, not helping were those stark black pumps.

    • 2nd that! She should have ditched the dupatta and had on nice strappy high heeled sandals instead. DP is so beautiful she does need much to look fantastic.

  1. Back to back three disastrous look! cant blame deepika her stylist is seriously going wrong nowadays. She looked stunning for the Dubai prmotions of Ramleeela and after that it kept going downhill.

    • +1 i completely agree! i like this look on the runway but i hate the way deepika accesorized! so far anaita hasn’t been so impressive. tanya ghavri > anaita as of now.

      • Lol are you kidding ? Anaita is responsible for all of DP’s style moments and her newly acquired ‘fashionista’ status. She has been her stylist for almost 2-3 years. DP used to be a tackfest before that.

    • Clearly, Anaita herself had worn the maxi with much greater success. If she had to wear the dupatta with it, she should have made it appear like a casual Sunday brunch look with open hair and flats. The heels are a complete let down not just for the black colour but also coz of the length of the maxi.

  2. So she won’t carry a dupatta with a salwar kameez but here she’ll carry one??? Completely mismatched n off?
that maxi even without the dupatta looks only ok for a lazy Sunday afternoon AT HOME….

  3. What is going on! Even Deepika would know adding a dupatta is all wrong. Shame, because she would have looked so cute imitating the model (not the hair of course). I do like her hair and make-up as is.

  4. It is so funny how people who always call deepika’s style sense chic and immaculate when it is actually her stylist who does all that are now blaming poor anaita when deep’s look is not up to the mark :p
For some reason, I am liking this look. Maybe its the makeup.

  5. Oddly enough, I like the this outfit very much! The dupatta adds a little oomph to the somewhat lucklaster maxi and her hair and makeup (god bless her artists) pull the look together completely!

However, those shoes are just way too chunky for the “ethereal” look she was going for. Had she had sandals like the model dons, or her usual flats, I would have given this look an A.

  6. The dress is a wrong height for her. The heels are all wrong. While I am not loving the dupatta with this look, I think without one the height of the maxi will be wierd. Atleast now, it looks like a not-much-to-talk-about anarkali-style look.

  7. We’ve seen this lovely lass in thong sandals on several occasions even where it was incongruent with the rest of the look and this one time she should have brought them out for a spin she didn’t-the irony *sigh*.
I think maxis in general only look good with flats/ sandals (be it gladiator or thongs). Wearing heels with maxis kinda pisses all over their casual-cool vibe.
