In Mandira Wirk

It wasn’t just Mandira Bedi who came to Wirk’s show to lend her support, celebrities came in droves and they were all dressed in clothes straight out of Mandira Wirk’s SS 2010 Collection!

From what we see, none of these lil’ draped numbers look particularly flattering on either of these ladies nor are they easy on the eye.

P.S: Malaika Arora Khan walked for Mandira Wirk in that dress.

  1. I like Kalki in her dress. The rest look like they’re dressed in elaborate curtains.Malaika as usual looks like if she shows enough leg/cleavage or both,it’ll distract from the dress.

  2. The ladies are not entirely to be blamed for the drapes; the designers need to check out the drapes of Junya Watanabe and Haider Ackermann. Please look up to designers like Comme Des Garcons, Maison Martin Margiela, etc who create original, innovative, intellectual and fashion forward designs. The rest of the so called big international fashion houses also take inspirations from them.

  3. gosh, all the dresses look supremely awful! this is what happens when a design trend (draping) becomes the raison d’etre of a collection: there’s no aesthetic reason for these dresses to be draped!

  4. Agreed. But if I had to choose one, it would be Kalki minus the chain (or whatever that is) across her shoulder. Shonali looks gorgeous, but not too sure about the neckline. And Malaika really needs to cover up!

  6. alrite she might be good at draping…but here all the draping seems too forced n ott…she took the cocept way too far…all the dreeses seemed straight frm project runway wher the contestant is tryna show how skilled he is…

  7. Oh my! These dresses are all pretty darn awful! I would say Malika Arora’s is the least worst but that’s just looking at it in comparison to the others…Terrible!

  8. So atrocious- Horrid fabrics, horrid colours, even more horrid draping. Insane and senseless draping does not a couture designer or garment make. Blech.

  9. Why would all of these ladies come to a show where they would not only be assulted by aesthetic horror, but have to literally imerse themselves in it as well?
Mandira Wirk must be really, really, really, really nice. Either that or she makes good food/ gives good birthday presents.

  10. A very disastrous collection ,SHOWING THE poor aesthetic sense of the designer who managed to show us that just how a preety/face n figure can look ugly/funny just by wearing wrong type of designs/clothes
