When it rains, it pours Burberry?

After the Vogue cover in March with Lara Dutta and the Marie Claire April cover with Bipasha Basu in Burberry Spring 2010, it is now Harpers Bazaar’s turn who put a Burberry clad Kalki on the cover of their May issue.

  1. Yes! I have a soft spot for Kalki – she’s lovely, interesting and unconventional, and she looks great on this cover. 🙂

  3. this dress is great but the colour is not doing justice to her…it`s making her look pale..i guess a more vibrant colour would look more sexy and sweet …

  4. Really like the way she looks…sexy cover….what a breath of fresh air compared to the same ol’ same ol’ faces…I like that she is not smiling…just shows a different side of her as she usually is smiley and chirpy in her interviews..

  5. Yuck, what’s with the hair and makeup?
That shade just washes her out and I think it’s too green. They could have incorporated some colour with the whole tropical thing going on.
She looks sad…..and lost and awkward.
Although that Prorsum skirt is just Gawjus in this washout gold-metallic colour.

  6. I think this is the worst styling of the burberry skirt yet, its too busy .. best one was lara’s, followed by bipasha.

  8. Am I the only one who doesnt get the obsession with covers being discussed on this site? Was interesting a couple of years ago when “fashion” magazines were new to India maybe…but surely you the readers here are more savvy now? It’s like getting excited by celebrity sighting on the street…get over it.

  9. I guess the stylists were going for a nature, Amazon inspired look that ultimately fell flat. The green is too pale, and the accessories are overstyled. I love her teased hair and light makeup, but she need a more richly colored dress for balance.

  10. Is Burberry the only luxury brand closet all these mag stylists got to raid? Either that or big congrats to the Burberry PR machine…either way this -because Burberry has been done two other times recently- is a very uninspiring cover.
