On The Ramp
When I first heard that Bipasha was walking the ramp at the first Kolkata Fashion Week, I assumed she would do it for her favorite designers, Gauri-Nainika. Which is why, seeing her walk for Monapali is quite a surprise. She sported a very Bengali look wearing a sari with a red puffed full sleeve blouse and a big bindi.
This look was a welcome change and I do wish she would sport this more and by that I mean traditional wear. But then that is just asking for too much! 😛
P.S. You can also see her sport the same look at a press conference two years ago here and we thought she looked great then too.

WOW! can bips also look like this? great to see her ditch her bikini blouse for once 😉 adore this sari on her and also love her look in the press conference!! hope she keeps it up!
Wow! Bipasha looks stunning and I am loving the ensemble as well. The blouse is interesting and I really like the multi colour border on the shari.
i don’t know about the puffy sleeves but that’s one gorgeous sari that i would love to own. she looks beautiful as well.
the blouse is interesting…..
While she DOES look good in it, I personally would not want to own this sari. It looks kind of “huge” and heavy-ish…. but the long blouse (with the interesting shoulder) is REALLY cute!
Very nice….fed up of her sexy look
SO beautiful!!! love it
wish she wore saris more often (like this i mean)
different/interesting, she looks good.
The saris o.k but somehow Bips personality seems at odds with this handloom look! On somebody else like maybe Vidya Balan it would look good.
not a big fan of the puffyLONG sleeved blouse..though she does manage to pull it off…she looks great but not everywone would in such a style
she looks amazing! i love her in minimal makeup w/o the whole bollywood getup… yay bipasha!!! =)
I don’t like the long sleeves with the puffed shoulders. Looks weird. Other than that, Bipasha looks good, although the sari is nothing special.
while bipasha looks lovely, i would have preferred the blouse to have been shorter sleeved..there just seems to be too much material there anyway..and i agree with k that the saree looks heavy and huge, but i think Bipasha carries it off very well!
sari not well draped – atleast in this photo – but she is gorgeous!
She looks so great in this sari.. she seriously should dress like this more often — instead of those super short and super tight dresses.
Love her Saree, the blouse is experimental, and could have ended at the puff sleeves. Now looks like a leg o mutton….Bips does pull it off, but just imagine how much more beautiful it would have looked had the long sleeves not been so distracting. Lovely lovely saree.
Walking for Monapali makes perfect sense for her, they’re local designers and it’s a nice way to hand a shout-out to the home crowd.
Re: the sari, I’d wear it in a heartbeat. After too many transparent slutty chiffon things with bikini/halter/other skimpy tops, it’s refreshing to see this- and Bipasha is a classic Bengali beauty who pulls it off amazingly.
The saree is lovely but the long sleeves should have been given a miss.
The blouse would have looked with a more simple saree. Loved the blouse, though the saree is not much.
I think the drape was not proper at all, and she would have looked better with proper heals.
Loved the overall look.
Wow… Bipasha looks good in clothes… err i mean… these kinda clothes LOL
Bipasha looks great – especially since te saree is nothing to talk about…..shows she can carry it off…love the blouse too
Aww she looks like a Bengali girl straight from the ’70s!! I absolutely love this look on her…and LOVE the blouse..it adds a retro vibe to the whole look
saree is to puffy, could have been tied better.
she looks like a clown with too much make up on
