Another One Bit(es) The Dust

This week, Ayesha Takia also got hitched to her longtime boyfriend Farhan Azmi. Ayesha wore a gold toned lehenga to both her nikaah ceremony and her wedding reception. While, we would have loved to see some color on her, we think she still looked beautiful on both days!

Congratulations to her and Farhan!

  1. i like pic 2 better… however, she does look good both days. i’m surprised she didn’t wear a more traditional red or maroon on her nikkah.

  7. She looks lovely on both days but I would have loved to see two different looks. More colour would have certainly helped here.
    Who is the designer?
The groom looks so good too.
Wish them a very happy married life .

  9. i think she looks lovely.. there are some other pics out there with her smiling.. she looks radiant!! i kinda prefer the traditional dress to dresses and stuff for weddings.. but yeah she should have gone in for a different look.. some red would have looked fab on her

  10. omg the nikah ceremony appears to be resplendent and the gold lehenga is very pwetty!!! but i don’t like her look at her wedding reception at all…she definitely should have opted for some other colour…she should have taken the advice of hubby dearest and followed him…wats the point in wearing all that diamond when it fails to sparkle and hides behind that sandstorm of a dress…

  11. Ayeshas outfits, dont like either, but the right one is relatively good. Hate how she’s pouting in the right pic though. Anyways i got inspired by someone’s comment that said no criticizing a blushing bride.. So, yeah. I’ll stop 😛

  12. @jazz
the awesome band that sung the song “Another One Bites the Dust”, conviently fronted by the amazing (and secretly Indian) late Freddie Mercury- from the 80’s
they also did (among many many others) “We Will Rock You/We are the Champions” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”- you might know those 😉

  13. Wow she looks good..I like the lehenga of the left pic better but the pic quality is bad so can’t see it..still looks good…she looks great while some of the guests at her wedding were so poorly dressed

  14. it took me a while to figure out that these are 2 different lehenga’s..i really like her in the first pix (where her hubby is wearing a white sherwani) and like her his blue sherwani in the 2nd one! i hope she continues to act after her marriage because she has so much potential! she make s a very resplendant bride!

  15. i love the lehenga in the second pic. she looks radiant and even though theres too much of gold color, she wears the diamond jewellery well…specially the tika!

  16. I’ll admit I would have preferred something a little less *BLING ALL OVER* but that’s my personal preference.

She looks cute and I’m happy for her.

  18. She looks nice, wish she had worn a different colour for 1 of the days. Also the dupatta could have been draped nicer instead of hanging like that, hides all the jewels and outfit.

They make a cute couple. she looks better in reception, but her lengha is more nicer in nikha.

  19. I liked what Ayesha wore for her wedding. I have to say after a looooooong time I truely loved this bridal wear. I hear she did not opt for big designers. one smart gal I must say:-))) God bless her matrimony.

  21. It was only after I read apsara’s comment that I realized these are 2 different outfits!!! How bizarre. She couldn’t choose another color? She is pretty but the lehngas are really meh. Oodles and oodles of fabric, golden chakmak everywhere :-p My fave wedding lehnga of all time is Karisma’s pretty pink confection.

  22. my brother thought she is the sexist thing ever, very curvy on the right places not bonny skinny with a cute face and lips, as her husband, what is up with his shoes hate them, she could do better, and why I feel like no one form her side or the guy side were in the wedding, we dont see any mom or pop holding their hands or blessing them why is that

  23. Both lehengas look so similar! I wish they were in brighter colors but the embroidery is so detailed and gorgeous.
I also like the blue sherwani that the groom is wearing, a very refreshing look.

  24. love the outfit but why is she wearing her dupata so weirdly over her head? never seen any bride wear it this way at any muslim wedding (which I’ve seen plenty off in pakistan).
