Since you asked…NO. Nothing against the poor girl but I have an issue with padded shoulders on someone of her build. Something ‘cleaner’ above the waist with hair tied away from face/neck might work better.

I agree. I’m shortbuild myself and I Know padded shoulder will be fashion disaster. Clean lines, high heels, single color dresses, well fitting trousers..just keeping it simple can make one look good ;-)

Agree. The stripes is a step in the right direction, but those padded shoulders are a no-no. Simple, un-fussy, clean lines are the best for her kind of figure.

I agree with Myla. The padded shoulders make her look boxy. She should wear clothes in proportion to her body. A smaller jacket, an open neck would make the look less stuffy. Sorry but that is the feeling I get.

    I think she looks great

she read my comment on her last post :) the dress stops just above the knee, the vertical stripes definitely help but I do think she could have still lost that jacket

NO to her dress and style from me as well :(

Simple sheath dresses with a V neck or a neck that gives the illusion of a longer neck and the dress height that stops atleast 4 inches above the knee, NO JACKETS unless its a perfectly snugy fitted short one with narrow sleeves no mo than 3/4 length of her hand. Smaller clutches that are non slouchy (these oversized toted overwhelm her even more)

I really hope she reads this!

Very nautical for a night outing.. more suited for day i think.. why would someone suggest her a jacket like that..with all the padding .. its awful

Agree with Myla. Padded shoulders look good on women with lean bodies and long necks. Something very light at the top might work well for her. No pads, no collars… and no puffed sleeves or frills anywhere at the top while we’re at it. Deep-V necks might work for her. Possibly even like a halter-neck style.

All this look needed for a resounding yes was regular unpadded shoulders on that blazer.

She needs to ditch these padded shoulder blazers pronto!!! These do nothing for people who have a broad frame already! makes her look like a billboard!

No. The padded shoulders make her look much bigger than she is – which in turn makes her look disproportionate.

One of her better looks, the longer jacket makes her look taller and slimmer. I also like the color of her shoes and the height of her heels. A huge improvement. i do not care for the color, size or shape of her bag.

It’s a clear no. She’s a buxom girl and really doesn’t do much for her top-heavy frame with all of these padded nonsense. She needs clean lines and heels. And some help toning those arms will work wonders for her. No disrespect here, just that its a tough frame to handle.

I think compared to couple of her appearances this definitely looks flattering on her!!!!

    don’t like the padded shoulders.

agree with myla- she makes herself look stout and boxy at most times including now

I have a dislike of padded shoulders in general…too reminiscent of 80s power dressing. Apart from that I think she looks good.

I love it! The Tod bag makes the look!

A tan or more mute color wouldnt have made the look as great as it is.

I think she looks pretty decent. She got the proprotions right. Her upper body is broad so padded shoulders kinda help give her soemwhat of an hourglass figure. Could have gone a size down though. Fit on the blazer from shoulders feels a little off. Minus the tan shoes she looks really good!

She finally got it right. I really like this look on her.

This look is far better than we usually get to see on her..she looks decent.

All Avantika needs to do is browse through Christina Hendricks’ style file…they have the same top-heavy curvy body and Christina rocks her outfits on and off the screen!

Had she skipped the pads in the blazer my answer would have been yes; that much shoulder pads does not suit her well.

  26. Orange Jammies at | | Reply

Getting there…almost….lose the shoulder pads and we’ll have a winner!

  27. Simmi at | | Reply

    Either ditch the jacket
    else the padded shoulder

  28. Neha at | | Reply

She almost got it right. The shoulder pads killed the look. But this is a vast improvement from her previous outfits.
