Off The Red Carpet

While at Cannes, Aishwarya has been making appearances off the red carpet as well. A media call saw her in a look consisting of a YSL shirt, Zac Posen skirt and an Armani belt which we found very reminiscent of Carolina Herrera. If Jessica Miller hadn’t given us the same look (in Dolce & Gabbana) already, we would’ve loved to see this on the red carpet as well.

Her portrait session look in the silk lace blouse and pants was a very flattering one at first glance but the more we looked, the more the black (waistcoat) on black didn’t make sense.

Of the two looks, which one do you prefer?

Ditto!

We almost dismissed this Ditto! thinking that Sonam’s version was in pink thanks to the instagram effect of the photo.

Upon closer inspection though and looking at a newer pic ( of Sonam) revealed that her version was red too. Now, we know most celebs are lent clothes while at Cannes so we’re quite surprised the design house chose to give Dita this dress. We’re more likely to believe that both just happen to love the dress and brought it to Cannes with them.

Having said that though, considering both styled the dress rather similarly from neck to toe, got a favorite? Does anyone win by a hair, pun very intended!

After black and white, Aishwarya gave us quite the pop of color on the red carpet in a teal Gucci Première gown with hot pink lips. And that’s where the love for this look ended.

We know, we’ve been asking for an updo from Aish on the red carpet from day one but this isn’t what we were looking for. The sculptural do was too high for the look and looked weird. A softer lower bun and this look would’ve been a two thumbs up from us. Oh wait, make that a four thumbs.

From high-fashion on Sunday, Deepika went high-street in Zara at a promotional event for YJHD keeping it simple in Zara from head to toe. From what we see, the sandals are neon which add that lil’ bit of zing to the look.

Giving us two looks in Dolce & Gabbana was Ashi, the producer of Bombay Talkies, one at the screening and another at a photocall. Of the two looks, the gown look was the one that really caught our attention for its simplicity. She looked great there!
