Arpita attended the Modart Fashion show wearing a shift contrast dress from Mango with some very interesting sandals. I like the dress, I love the sandals but am still not feeling the look as a whole on Arpita.

  1. Maybe a shorter length (like on the model) might have helped. But me too, not really feeling the dress. This is reminding me of a recent pic I saw of Priyanka wearing a two toned shift dress (?) as well – but solid, and not with a pattern on it. As for the sandals, I like them but not with this dress, but with a neutral colored dress.

    • What’s an Indian body type? And which country do you think that this dress is made for anyway- its not like the average dress size in the UK/US is any smaller than in India. I’m tired of the notion that western clothes are only meant for very fit women. Most of the women in the West do not have very skinny or statesque figures, yet they wear clothes of this sort. The outfit is boring but its fine for her body type.

      • Hey by Indian body type i by no means hint on weight or fitness. I just think that a significant number of indian women (not girls, not teenager, but women) are generously endowded in the hips and thighs area. So i dont think it suits them. Nothng to do with wieght. Just proportions. Just my opinion.

      • And i say that because the dress fits Arpita perfectly well on her upper half but is tight at the hips/thighs. One size larger would be too lose above while fitting at hips would be fine.

  2. I feel she just wears whatever she likes without giving too much consideration to what suits her frame the best. While I can applaud this (wear whatever you want, whenever you want!) I do think that overall it is advisable to wear clothes which suit your body. This cut does not suit her.

  3. Its easy to comment on others, everyone forgets what they look like… why dont you all put your pictures and ask people to comment… you all will be shocked to know what they feel… and i am sure alot of the mean comments are cause of jealously…..

  4. Why is Arpita Khan famous? For being Salman’s sister? I know this is off topic, but just wondering.
The dress bunches weirdly in places. Not a look that works. I applaud her for not trying to artificially lighten her colouring, but something about the makeup is off, too.

  5. I think this is perfect for her skin colour. A good contrast is the best way not to be washed out. But I don’t like the dress in the first place. Seen it in plenty of places and plenty of people and I couldn’t warm up to it.
