Arpan Vohra
Sail Away was the theme of Arpan Vohra‘s resort collection and the nautical theme was evident throughout mainly with the rope embellishment that was featured in most pieces. The color palette was mostly white with a bit of blue and red thrown in. Instead of dressing Ria (his showstopper) in the white mini, the designer may have made more of an impact having her wear one of the more colorful numbers that were far more appealing.

Instead of a resort/summer collection, the Cryptic Ink collection was targeted more for Fall 2011. Inspired by Moroccan Zellige tiles, outfits featuring the trademark tile prints were combined with colors of Fall for impact. The earthy collection consisted of tunics, belted dresses and loose-fit pants in raw silk. I wouldn’t mind having the white long tunic in my wardrobe.

Preeti S Kapoor
Preeti’s collection served up formal wear with intricate jamawar embroidery. Paisley designs, some already seen in past collections on Kalki, featured heavily in this one too. For folks still on the lookout for wedding wear, Preeti’s collection would be a good go-to option.
