That top looks like a smock that painters wear while painting so that they don’t get paint all over their other clothes.

Poor Anu….she will constantly have to wear flats this promotions around because of her costars height problems…sad =(

She is not wearing flats just for the sake of male costars. She wears it most of the time. She wore these same valentino flats when she was beside Virat too.

I think she prefers flats. she wears a lot of flats compared to other celebs. even in Bombay velvet promos and other events she wore flats. I don’t this it’s a co-star issue (Atleast not in her case).

Neck down – No. The colour scheme of this entire look is all over the place.

I think her top is two sizes too big. Beautiful face though!

that top absolutely doesn’t go with that jeans. I doubt it will go with anything.

Don’t care much for the outfit, but loving the hair colour and those shoes.

She always looks so pleasing and charming to the eyes even with the not so good clothes. Such a cutie. Love her hair.

I guess most actresses “look good” anyway and wear whatever they are supposed to sell to the public. After all this “Hand Frayed ultrasoft Off Shoulder Denim Blouse” has made it to a magazine, is now on an actress etc. It may sell a few units on this basis but is it really stylish or aesthetic? No. Should a pretty girl get a pass on this on a fashion site? I think not.

PS: These top styles with the slipping off shoulders and the strategically frayed jeans in the same stock colours can be found with all the major clothing brands. Unimaginative and dull. And no one knows what shoes to wear with it!

Based on what we see most actors wearing these days, it does appear that Indian fashion is unimaginative and dull. It is all bridal, bridal like, anarkalis, lehengas and such.
Apart from a few like Bhibhu Mohapatra or Rohit-Rahul, the rest are just blaah. Same thing, different name.

+1 to everything that you said.
I guess she was going for a ‘casual-cool’ kind of a look but that top played a spoilsport (That pair of jeans is another story altogether; never liked distressed denims). Neck up and from ankles, the look is so feminine & girly but everything “in between” is a mess.

That’s true of Indian fashion Melange. Or imitative of global trends like here. At least as found on this site. The site is celeb heavy and unfortunately in modern culture no celeb is stepping out unless it is to endorse a brand. So what we see are merely safe brands that rope in celebs and people conditioned to view this as high style though to give HHC credit once in awhile we do see the rule breakers. Generally people are happy to see their bias looking smart and pretty which keeps the site popular. No harm in this but there is nothing that stands out. And thank you bluebells. I have seen distressed done well but not here.

Why, oh why? Is that oversized thing a trend now? She dresses sooo well on other days, otherwise.

She looks like a homeless person who found her top in the the clothing recycle bin.

These Rockstud heels/flats are everywhere & I cant seem to find an affordable version anywhere. :(

cant believe she needed a stylist for this look.
    horrible, at its best.

I think she looks extremely chic and pretty.
P&P, please feature Priyanka’s Maxim cover and the entire photoshoot. She looked smoking!

This is a horrendous look – top to toe. Not even a single salvageable element.

  16. Asha at | | Reply

She looks gorgeous neck upwards. But that top and those jeans….just too terrible for words.

  17. ZA at | | Reply

P& P, she doesn’t look good from any angle – cmon guys!
I know the intent of this site is really good (that is, you try your best to keep it positive and find the saving grace in even the worst looks), but this not a good look by any means.
It’s a disaster from head to toe
    – ill fitting top
    – the “not good” kinda distressed denim .. It just doesn’t work
    – terrible shoes

makes a tall girl like anushka look short & stout. You can’t give this look a pass even if you tried (just my two cents :))

    1. red at | | Reply

+100 I think she really doesn’t care much about what she throws on sometimes.. she just goes with whats comfortable..

  18. eww at | | Reply

Anushka is gorgeous. But that top is horrible. Agree with the person who said this look is all over the high street, and available in a better fit/style too. I don’t see what’s designer about it at all, and why it deserves such good press. Would you pay top dollar for this? I don’t see how it’s original in any way!

  19. Kirsa at | | Reply

Well this look is sort of a disappointment mainly because of that top which is two sizes big and because of its commonplace design. And that jeans too a bit too tattered. Never been a fan of such denims but realising it is Anushka, she could have totally pulled it off had it not been for that trite top. Props though for her easy, laidback charm which has always been a part of her personality. Love her for that.

    1. Avani at | | Reply

+1. Laid back charm it is! :)

Those jeans are distressing me, other than that it’s just one her regular simple looks.
    And she does them well.
I won’t be surprised if even this turns out to be something put together by stylist, but she usually sticks to her sense of style regardless.
