That is a god awful saree. This designer duo are the smartest at ripping off clueless celebs with their totally unwearable clothes. The entire bachchan khandan is a case in point.

so true, i always never understood the fuss behind their ott creations, and felt bad for the subtle Aishwarya to have to pander to their creations just coz it was a family thing. its like some people are born with silver spoons but this designer duo were born with a blingy spoon and that is not a compliment.
having said all of the above, Manchanda pulls off the ‘gaon ka mela’ creation.
Loving the sari,its young,fun n vibrant. Would love to see alia bhatt in somethn like this!

Kind of nautanki, but she does carry it well.
Tried very hard to like this saree but could not…whats with the pleats portion…nothing creative or soothing to the eyes of the beholder…this designer duo can do quite blingy stuff sometimes ( or most of the time)…couldnt agree less with the first comment posted..
I think is a horrible horrible sari.Anushaka manages to make it look bearable but that does not take away from the fact that the fabric is awful

What an ugly looking saree…how is it cute? And how is it designer wear? I just dont understand why would celebs pay exorbitant amounts for such clothes when they have all the choice in the world!?!

This is a terrible terrible saree. Loud & very cheap looking. It’s an assault to the eyes. Yuck.

Its not the greatest saree but she looks good in it. Not sure how she is making it work. Neck up, no complaints.
The more I look at it though, the more I see this saree being worn at someone’s mehendi in the day. In sunlight, the colours might be more wearable.

Not a fan of the saree but the colors are fun and she definitely carries it well. Obviously the attitude helps!
Is this a joke? A “high low” conceptual recreation of a shaadi ka tent in slum? A meta visualisation of the blingy tastes of the noveau riche? An homage to bad taste? An installation art piece to generate a conversation on contemporary aesthetics in urban society? Bravo.

and if people want opulence,they should forget the blingology of these two, and go for JJ Valaya. Now that man weaves old world charm into his creations. There’s finesse, beauty and immense aesthetics poured into his works of art. not to forget class & timelessness. Somehow a Valaya creation sighting is sooo rare :(
