Designer Anupama Dayal recently showed her bridal collection in Delhi with socialites Tanisha Mohan and Witty Bawa modelling. We’d reallly like to appreciate the collection but can you blame us for being distracted by the horrible styling. The unkempt hair with the mogra was an instant turnoff!

Since the bridal finery isn’t enough to hold our attention, let’s move on to the attendees, shall we?

Cheena Wig wore a Karen Millen white dress with a red Birkin to subtly match the belt detail and I must say I quite liked. The only fault with her look were the flats that she wore. They seemed much too casual for entire outfit.

Ammu Saidi and Kimmi Tej went with prints we are quite familiar with. While Ammu wore a Pucci dress with a Fendi Peek-a-book tote, Kimmi wore a Cavalli dress.

Geeta Chandok wore an interesting dress with a Balenciaga bag. I say interesting because I liked the face-print but not quite the dress itself.

You couldn’t have a designer preview without one attendee wearing the designer, right? Abhilasha attended the soiree wearing a red one-shoulder Anupamaa dress seen on the designer back at LFW Resort Week.

Latika went with a blue romper with a Bottega Veneta tote, Bridal Asia CEO Divya Gurwara chose a red one-shoulder dress and Seema Suri went traditional in an orange salwar suit.

  1. i thot the bridal dresses are very interesting : with interesting colours and work : not the typical blingy zhintak stuff we have been seeing from mumbai regulars like manish malhotra, vikram phadnis etc etc

  2. You are right..
Except for the bright colors in the sari and lehenga..nothing is catching my attention there..
I however loved the white Karen Millen dress..

    • Yep, i think so too. Those people wearing karen millen and other such brands just seem inappropriately dressed to me. Just as bad as wearing that to a indian wedding !

  4. I wish the rich and the restless in India embraced Desi attire more… they probably wouldn’t look nearly as uncomfortable and awkward. I’m irritated. Negativity aside, Seema Suri wins for me and that Karen Millen dress is pretty delicious.
