August 18th, 2012 at 7:24 pm . by PayalAmrita and Shweta were spotted in similarly embroidered outfits with Amrita in a long kurta suit and Shweta in a lehenga. Of the two, much prefer Amrita.
P.S. It was also nice to have a sighting of hers after eons.

Im just wondering how it must feel to bump into someone wearing the same outfit as you. I, for one, would hate that. :D
Wow, what eyesores. These kind of outfits should only be worn to weddings. Seriously ugly and overdone.
The cut of Amrita’s outfit reminds me of the stuff Aishwarya used to wear during her pregnancy (come to think of it, not much has changed)…No fit at the waist…so much embroidery that the beauty of the work is completely lost…and on top of that long embroidered sleeves. At the very least, the dupatta should have been plain

I have not been to India in a couple of years but is this what people are wearing these days? No shape or form, and drowning in embroidery. I bet the thread-work is beautiful but little moderation would have been nice, no?
OMG! My eyes! My eyes! Methinks 5 salwar kameezes could be made out of the fabric used for these 2! They would still be really garish salwars but at least they wouldn’t look like canopies!
Overdone clothes, hideous hideous interior design work ( Liberace meets Gothic horror show sets), and they get a book deal, and the creme de la creme fawning over them like this…. Guess idiots are born everyday, waiting to be conned!
Not sure why they picked these outfits for a book launch. At least Amrita doesn’t look overwhelmed by hers; Shweta looks like she is drowning in hers.
Can we see Parmeshwar, Prerna, Pratima all in their Abu Sandeeps. It seems like some night!
