Mum-to-be Amrita attended the Kapoor-Khan sangeet in a Vikram Phadnis lehenga. A bejeweled McQueen clutch completed her look. She looked radiant!

  1. she wore that and her husband wore ripped jeans. WHEN will bollywood stars pay the respect an occasion deserves and stop showing up at weddings in ripped jeans?

  2. I find this look overwhelming. Tied up hair with a gajra would have looked way better.
And ya, what a mismatch between her outfit and her husband wearing jeans !

  3. Her face looks really nice but what the hell is he wearing – so mismatched from her!? So I’m truly curious – why is it that pregnant women (in Indian wear) look SO large? The net of the lengha and scarf and the work on her blouse seems so scratchy and uncomfortable..and the large borders is just making me uncomfortable looking at her. Is it just me or like… I don’t recall pictures of my mother or any pregnant Indian woman I know looking so huge in Indian wear but Bolly celebs – gigantic amounts of fabric. I don’t mean this in a negative way for pregnant woman – she’s beautiful and I hope she’s wearing what she feels beautiful and comfortable in but I just mean that I always figured there was something else that in the past woman wore or that isn’t so overwhelming looking??? Genuinely curious.

    • The idea is to hide the tummy from onlookers as much as possible especially when appearing in public. I am under immense pressure myself as I am pregnant and need to attend a family wedding. I am being asked to wear all kinds of hideous clothes so that my tummy does not bulge out.

      • “justlikethat’ i hope you are doing ok with all the pressure. People wanted to treat me and my belly like it was public property. With all their advice, and ‘slawa, and vaims’ people wanted to impose on me. Forget it!!! Have fun at the wedding and congrats to you!!!
