For the music launch of her upcoming movie, Amala picked a Gaurav Gupta sari-gown. Pairing the designer’s signature silhouette with a cocktail ring and t-strap sandals, the actor finished out her look with a braided updo. When paired with dress, the cape didn’t quite work on Ms. Paul. And as for the dress itself, we weren’t big fans of the floral-sheer portion. That said, sans cape, Amala did wear the dress well. Props to her for pulling it off, we suspect most others wouldn’t have.

Surprisingly, I like the “with-cape” look more as the floral sheer lining is an assault to the senses. Amala looked good!!!
LMAO at that last picture. I am reminded of Ms JJ who used to wear such capes over her sarees, but man what grace she had even in those not very boring sarees. And here we have Amala Paul who is making that gown helluva tacky with or without cape.
