In Temperley London

Alia at the Filmfare pre-awards party had us doing a double take. The white Temperley London vest-suit, the dark lips and the sleek hair wasn’t something we expected from her. While she looked great waist up, am a bit iffy on the pants. In this case, I think the runway look should’ve been modified and the vest should’ve been worn with longer palazzo style pants or cropped cigarette ones.

What do you think?

  1. It’s a very 90’s look to me (as someone who was a teenager in that decade). I agree that if she was wearing skinny pants, it would have come off as a more modern look. I like that she’s taking risks though!

  2. I think she’s too short for a lot of these model looks she tries to pull off. It ends up looking overwhelming on her.

I think she should stick with more simpler clothing that doesn’t dwarf her.

  3. Am I the only one spotting innerwear issues (or the lack of)? It could be the fit of the vest too. I like that she’s trying new things, but on the whole the fit of this outfit doesn’t work.

  4. Seeing her over-all appearances, I think Alia is trying to carve a clean, fuss-free niche for herself in the fashion dept. While I get what she’s trying to achieve in theory, but the outfits just end up looking overwhelming on her. The vest is extremely ill-fitted. In the third pic it appears as if she has a baby-bump.

  5. I’m not sure what statement she is trying to make with those eyebrows, but they really need some grooming for this kind of a stark look to work.

  6. Looks like she’s trying to pull a Deepika Padukone. Waist up, it’s working. But the pants are a misfit and absolute disaster.
