  1. I hate that they PHOTOSHOP people sooo much thesedays in the INDIA mags, her face has been made soo flat, she doesn’t look like herself. They’ve made her look soo waife-like, when in real life she’s not THAT thin.

Other than that the dress is nice on the model, can’t really see it much on ash.

  2. when I saw Sonam on the Elle Cover, took my breath away – she looked (and the cover looked) so fresh and beautiful – similarly with the pic of Sonam in Gayatri Khanna, which was featured on this site.

Aishwarya’s not producing that effect – she looks , well, like she always looks – nothing spectacular or different to make you want to go back and look at her again and again..

  3. and before anyone jumps on me, i am not commenting on how beautiful Sonam is vs. Ash – rather talking about the styling, clothes, photography etc..

  4. wats with the sudden obsession with pastels?? the whole concept of the shoot is too bland for my taste. prefer the cover pic to this one.

with so much photoshop these days, u never know what a person looks like anymore!

  5. I like it, very old world, classic glamour- and there is no one better to portray classic glamour like our classic beauty, Ash 🙂
as for Sonam’s cover, first of all I have to say that was Elle 😉 and it was more edgy with more attitude
this (in terms of Vouge India) actually looks like a decent photoshoot and pastels are comming back next spring 😀

  6. hum I have to agree with you guys, she doesn’t wow me anymore, she is the sam ol aish, what is up with her face in the first pic, the jaw looks mighty long, I guess the guys in India are just exciting to have fotoshop nowadays, they did this ti Amisha Patel too in one of her pics she was unrecognizable..fotoshop peps take it easy, having the tools doesn’t mean you can alter people any way you want, its photoshop is there to remove wrinkles. grey hair, any thing that is misplaced in pic, shave a few ponds here and there and add color to face lips skin etc, ITS IS NOT THERE FOR YOUR TO GO OVER SOME ONE’S FACE AND PAIN IT AWAY THE WAY YOU LIKE

  7. thats what i first thought!! is she that thin.. ?!?! i think vogue is sending out a bad message to all us girls out there that waif thin is sexy..very sad..

but this photo is so au naturel.. and it almost looks like a nightie than a gown.. u know, its like out of the bed shots.. hahahhaha.. ooops, sorry glamorous-out-of-the-bed-shot

  8. Forget Ash for just a bit – I’m glad that for once, Valentino has used a ramp model who actually has hips!!! The world is changing; Alessandra Facchinetti is proving she’s every bit as good as Valentino Garavani!!! Yet another loss for Gucci.

  9. okay i must have been abducted by aliens and my memory erased of the time that Ash was fat judging by the comments here.. why would they photoshop her and make her skinny?

she has always had a small frame but because at times when she indulges in laddoos she isn’t toned.. this photoshoot was done during the last leg of the tour so all that dance practice and hectic schedule probably made her lose weight

and she looks stunning! and from what little i see of her in this tiny picture, she looks like Ash..the stylist and makeup artists said she has such a perfect skin and face, they didn’t wanna put too much makeup or do anything drastic with the styling as she is glamourous and elegant effortlessly

now since someone brought up Sonam..she is the one who looks different in every single photoshoot picture, her whole face looks different in every photo.. her pictures are photoshopped to the max after putting on 10 layers of makeup as she doesn’t look remotely in real life what she looks like in her “photoshoots”

I just wanted to clarify that i never meant “that thin” in a negative way, the size she is, is absolutely fine and when your as pretty as ash you can get away with alot.

As for her becoming soo thin during the tour, please! we see her everyday on the tour through the little show and pics etc on the net.

There’s no two ways about it, its OTT photoshopped.

And i totally agree with ME person. In hollywood they use this suff, even if you watch “america’s next top model” show, you can see before-after pics, but they still look the same, just get rid of bad skin/shadows and sligthy make the body more “perfect”.

  11. Wow.. now this is glamorous. She looks much better in this pic than the one on cover. But is she really that thin??? Darn! I don’t want to believe that she can be so thin! So would rather like to believe that she was photoshopped! 😀 That gives me an ethereal satisfaction.

  12. They do PS all the time!! I have seen mags taking off baby fat off people’s cheeks to make them look nicer on the cover!! LOL!! It’s nothing that shocking.

But I do have a problem when they are trying to fix someone’s figure!! I don’t have a problem with Ash being heavy…she is beautiful regardless…so why PS her to make her look so weird!!!

  13. LOL – the candid shots of Aishwarya with fans while she was on tour show that she has lost weight.

The video from the Vogue photoshoot also shows the stylist and makeup artist who can not worked with her before saying that Aishwarya is so beautiful and has such perfect skin that they decided to not do much and go for the natural fresh look.

I just wish they had used more colors in the photoshoot – either for the gowns or the background scenery.

  14. @nik – when u talk about couture, fashion, styling – its awesome that the same person looks so exotically different in various clothes, settings and makeup.. remember the deepika and ranbir cover? from an artistic/aesthetic viewpoint, and i dont care whether or not someone’s Photoshopped, the criteria is what the end result looks like – this photoshoot doesnt do that for aishwarya. That is my opinion, seen through my eyes..
