I don’t know about this looks, sometimes boxy silhouttes look nice, but this one doesn’t really do much for Ash. I also agree that it’s a bit too much with the skirt being so busy too.

Wow! My two favorite actors, Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai in same post is a treat to my eyes. Randeep looks oh so handsome and Ash looks like a barbie doll in a loose fit dress. What a pair. Randeep shouldn’t be cropped.

Manish is that you?? somthing this tacky can only be made and liked by him. “Barbie Doll in loose fit dress”? Yes if she was going to a halloween party playing dress up!

Rofl. Someone once called me Sonam, another time Sonali Bendre and now you call me Manish Malhotra. Donno why my comments keep trolling.

PS: I am not a fan of MM

I am with you on this Sapphire; there was nothing tacky about this outfit and Ash was super cute. I don’t know why u r called a troll or a die hard fan of u r a fan of Ash. She may or may not be perfect but she really tries to do the right thing and I respect her

          1. Sapphire at |

Completely agree Dhdjfj. :) The blue color of the lehenga is nice and the maple leaf motif on the lehenga is something unique and kinda reminiscent of her Mohobbatein movie. Instead of going with the regular tight choli and dupatta, she is wearing a loose top which I think is something different for Ash. So she changed it up and tried something different. And she really looks young and fresh here. And how adorable Ash and Randeep were dancing in the song Dola re video!

I simply love Aishwarya however bling or tacky don’t suit her. She looks best in understated and elegant outfits in which her beauty stands out. I do like that she sported some colour in her clothes, but personally did not like this shade of blue of the Lehenga skirt either. Her last and last but one appearance were both good, this was a miss for me…

She looks fabulous! I love the unexpected silhouette!

There is not one thing good about this outfit! After so many of her recent elegant looks this is one of her worst in ages. Why does she wear Manish? When will he ever give up trashy designs?

Don’t like the lehenga, but the blouse is really and versatile. Somehow the wardrobe seems to be put together haphazardly. That said she manages to look ok, neck up she looks great. But I secretly wish she would do something more to her hair than leave it open.

    She’s looking lovely here!

I’m glad she tried something new .. It’s nice !
At one point I was bored of her same old looks ;)

This is atrocious. An ugly lehngha in the ugliest shade of blue with a gold boxy top which clearly doesn’t flatter the rest of the look.
This is the first time I didn’t look at her face because the outfit screamed painfully at me . Terrible

I just don’t understand how she has such poor basic sense of style

What on earth is she wearing…For heaven’s sake someone thrown some Anavila sarees at her. Or some South Cotton. Its time she discovered handloom. Manish Malhotra needs to retire – how do you excuse a veteran designer making this monstrosity? He has no ideas left. Its something Sonakshi would wear a couple of seasons ago and we’d roll our eyes at her. Her make up however is spot on here.

When your clothes make the most beautiful woman in the world look bad, then you’re struggling.

    nooooooooooo… its horrible !!… :( :( :(
why is mm doing this to her… she is so pretty!!! please dont spoil the natural beauty.

Blue lehnga and the gold top combination doesn’t work for me. The silhouette doesn’t work either. Like someone else said above that the combination looks haphazardly put together. Not a co-ordinated look at all. Its a miss for me.

I so wish she experiments with her hairstyles! Otherwise, yes, the colours are great on her. :)

I find d skirt very intresting..maple leaf motifs makes it luk unique..Top v hv already seen on various other celebrities n I personally love it. Bt here d it(top) is nt going wel wid the skirt! Fitted n slightly simple top wud hv worked.

I had another moment of liking two pieces of clothing that unfortunately, did not go well together. Agreed that it was a unexpected choice and that itself made it interesting and she does still look lovely! Isha’s Verdict: Liked the top and bottom – just not together!

Isn’t this the same top Neha wore to the Bips reception? Boxy tops don’t work with such voluminous skirts, it would look much better with slim fitted pants.

  16. tan at | | Reply

I think the skirt is a bit voluminious but somehow they work together.
i love the top and love the get up actually.
Her makeup is very nice too.
I only wish she would stop playing safe with her hair, letting them down loose mostly, something I do because I am too chicken to try something new and different with my hair.

She looks nice ….. really wish she would try some different hairstyles though …..but i must say this woman has some amazing potential.

P.s there was no need to crop Randeep Hooda … :-P

I pray she gets a different stylist for Cannes! Very worried she’ll make her dress like this and be a disaster! She’s so beautiful that less is more in her case.

The looks weird in pictures, but the outfit looked great in the videos i saw.

    1. Dhejrj at | | Reply

I felt the same way. She looked gorgeous in that shady video where she danced for dola re (and how adorable was Randeep trying to do that famous dola re step)

      1. Dhejrj at | | Reply

I meant short video (nothing shady about it)!

Such a pathetic outfit by Manish Malhotra…this outfit is making such a gorgeous woman look so dull…is her stylist blind!!!

    I like it.

Loved this dress and her in the dola re video….

why is MM still designing clothes?

  24. orchee at | | Reply

The leaf motif on the skirt kind of took me back to Mohabbetein..

Why isn’t anyone talking about how much it resembles that outfit Alia Bhatt had worn to Shahid and Mira’s reception?

  26. chitrangi at | | Reply

I actually liked the skirt and the colour too for a change but the top not so much.I think It is the same type of boxy top Neha Dhupia worn to Bipasha’s reception. It is good to see Aishwarya donning something different apart from the usual stuff. And yes I feel aish should experiment with her hairs and should try something new.Its very predictable now a days.

  27. Rajesh at | | Reply

the dress looks great on her and she gorgeous as always. Good that she is trying new styles

  28. Avani at | | Reply

She looks beautiful because she is beautiful. :P Nothing to do with the clothes. The skirt is good but the top could have been a different gold and less boxy.

  29. Oddjig at | | Reply

I’m glad she tried a boxy silhouette and it actually looks good. It’s the lehenga skirt in that garish blue that’s the culprit here. And of cors the ever present mane of hair- why can’t she ever try a differnt style??
