In Sabyasachi

Wearing a jumpsuit and matching cape from Sabyasachi’s recent LFW collection, Aishwarya attended a UN panel discussion about Gender Equality. With the all-over floral print, you’d think one would find the look overwhelming but it wasn’t. In fact, the outfit felt rather youthful and fresh and Aishwarya looked great in the simple styling.

I, for one, love. You?

  3. She looks gorgeous and the outfit is event appropriate unlike some other outfits.

Also I love the simple styling for the hair and makeup. She is off to a good start.

  4. Firstly , love how she is gazing into the camera with so much attitude! And, the print along with the belt and the oh-so-cute-n-perfect purse are such a lovely sight. I barely noticed Ms. Hayek!

  5. And this woman is in her 40’s! Beat that! I just love how she never tried so hard to impress. She has always been so down to earth. My biggest wish is her essaying the role of Maharani Gayatri Devi on the celluloid! She will knock off everyone.

  6. What’s with the uneven eyebrows.. Can’t seem to unsee it. :/
Coming to the outfit, I love how leading ladies in Bollywood (read Deepika too recently) are going for more youthful, fresh and appropriate outfits rather than being draped in curtains all the time.

    • She’s had uneven eyebrows ever since sustaining serious injuries on the sets of her film “khaki”. If you check photos from before that they were perfectly fine.
coming to the look in question it is definitely a lot better than what we’ve come to expect of Aishwarya but I do find the matching jumpsuit and gown very bleh, the length off and the accessories quite uninspiring.

  8. She is looking so pretty.. Such an easy look and still so impactful. Poor Salma Hayek. She is one stunning female, but is clearly overshadowed by our own Aish. πŸ™‚

  9. I must agree with whoever called this look Matronly Chic! It reminds me of my catholic school teachers in their matchy matchy floral printed skirts and blouses. Flowers don’t translate into fresh. This would be better at a regular outing in Mumbai. But it’s certainly not Cannes worthy

  10. Lose the cape and this would have been perfect. As it is, it’s too mother-of-the-bride! Having said that, neck up she looks gorgeous!!

  11. I wish she wasn’t wearing the cape, but Aish looks really comfortable and i don’t remember the last time I’ve seen her in a jumpsuit (or have we ever?) and she carries it off really well. Her lipstick looks amazing on her as well!

  12. Neck up…..GORGEOUS!!!!!! The outfit…….too print heavy. May have looked better without the long sleeve cape. Makes the outfit look matronly.

  13. Love but a side braided hair would have elevated this bohemian chic look.

but again, this is a formal event. she did well!

  14. Very event appropriate. If you look at all the other wonderful ladies on the panel Salma Hayek, Parker Posey, etc you would see all were a little dressed down for this. Infact compared to a lot of women on the panel Aishwarya looked more dressed up. Glad to see her in Sabyasachi again. The only thing though I’m a bit curious now how it would look without the cape.

  15. I guess I am the only one who didn’t recognize salma hayek in the pic….. I thought she was richa chaddha at first….. Proves ..
    1) Aish’s personality is so amazing… She made salma hayek look like richa…
    2) Richa at some level does look like salma hayek.
    .(just realized)
    3) I was really sleepy when I saw this pic…. Lol πŸ˜‰

  17. Not doing it for me. Seems a bit heavy handed (both the outfit and the make up) for a day event on women’s empowerment.

  18. Major love! She looks stunning…I feel stupid saying this…but she actually looks better than Salma Hayak in that picture.

  20. Seems like my nightie with a matching cape. Sorry, as much as I love Sabya and as much as I love Aish, this is too blah for me!
