this is so pretty, i am so glad she and Sabyasachi are bringing back the simple kurti with gharara. I would wear this everyday. she looks great.

The first thing that came to my mind too!! Such a doll!

      1. Nav at | | Reply

The dress is not event appropriate tho!

How uncanny! I was thinking she looked like a picture perfect doll only to click on the comments that a few others were of the same mind. She’s so pretty@

it’s good to see her “not wearing” abu sandeep blingy outfits…thank god!
She started looking repetitive and so overthetop . I agree tying her would have worked better also , she should have draped the dupatta properly. d way it was taken it did nothing to d outfit , in ne manner whatsoever

wow gorgeous, wish i look as good as her when i’m 40!!!!

from the left most picture i’m inclined to deduce that an updo would’ve left her looking very bottom heavy … the open hair is looking quite nice …

True, her hair done up with a chunky necklace would have looked better.

Aishwarya looks pretty though for me top to toe in red is bit monotonous, but she makes it work. I didn’t understand the dupatta draping either.

Gorgeous as always. If she’s 40 she doesn’t look it. I mean her face looks so smooth. She’s got great skin

gorgeous is an understatement i suppose..amen for not wearing those atrocious abu-sandeep!!

I know shes probably modeling the watch but her mannequin-ny pose in the first photo is really cracking me up.
Glad shes given up on the blingy tents and is wearing more form-fitted stuff now.

Ash is still so pretty, extra weight or not. She’s aging beautifully.

  12. kasthuri at | | Reply

Wow, she looks like a doll ! So simple and pretty. Do wish the hair was in a pony or something more formal.

She looks so gorgeous, damn! She can pull off any weight. THAT FACE and THAT ELEGANCE.. my god. *jealous*

  14. Karishma at | | Reply

She looks beautiful from neck up. I don’t like the lehenga. Sabyasachi is very overrated.

she looks fabulous in this simple outfit and 100 points for no garish makeup…

    Oy Sabyasachi retire already.

At the very least take a sabbatical.

Why do Indian designers love….volume? Perhaps they watched Gone with the Wind one too many times?

+1 this is fuddy duddy…better ways to be ‘traditional’ or ‘classic’ this is just odd

how can u even complain!!? look at her..i’ll give her full 10 out of 10 for this look..if she had worn up her hair.. she wud have ended up looking bit older!! look at her hair..omg its just fab fab fab!!!

  23. Shina at | | Reply

I mean its okay, nothing great imo. She seems to want to hide behind plenty of fabric these days, but she needs to wear outfits that define curves to some extent.

The Case of Too Much Volume. Yet again. And doesn’t anyone else wonder how a lehenga is appropriate for the races?

  25. SLC at | | Reply

It’s a lovely lehenga and Ash looks gorgeous in red. Thank god it’s not an Abu Sandeep outfit.

  26. rhutzz at | | Reply

she looks pretty.. finally smthng nice n sober

  27. Aastha at | | Reply

she is truly a beauty. classy, Ash.

  28. Ritu at | | Reply

Why a lehenga to the Race?……she is looking gorgeous coz she is beautiful…..the lehenga does nothing for her:-(

    1. kasthuri at | | Reply

its not like she is racing in it. Its formal wear and i think this is indian formal wear. you could consider it a long skirt and i thnk that fits. (i do think the hair tied up could have made this more formal)

      1. priya at | | Reply

LOL really? You dont make sense!

  29. Paddy at | | Reply

She wore this to a race?? This woman is getting too boring…I get it that she pretty etc etc, but come on! this is a fashion blog and she is certainly not setting it on fire.

  30. eclat at | | Reply

Lehenga to the races, that too, in Singapore! Completely event inappropriate. She must be sweltering under all that fabric too.

  31. Food Poisoned Attorney at | | Reply

She looks good, event appropriate definitely not.

  32. Adara at | | Reply

She does look like a doll. Particularly in the last pic. Red suits her and Aish is looking her pretty self.

  33. Arpitha d at | | Reply

Though she is looking nice & the red color suits her,but lehenga to race. A chudidhar or sari would have looked Indian formal.

  34. ispy at | | Reply

Terrible Terrible …..she is doing great injustice to the lehenga …blah

  35. A at | | Reply

I don’t think she should’ve worn her hair up. I love her hair, the natural make up and ofcourse the dress. Always knew she looks good in red.
    And Sabyasach>Abu Sandeep

  36. SS at | | Reply

She is soooo gorgeous. Her face is so soft and innocent. Is it because she is wearing far less makeup than usual? I always felt that Ash looks a million times better without make up than with
